Now that Gabriel has only one more year until he reaches 60 years of age,I would like to ask something of the people in these forums who have learned so much about him through his interviews and his actions.
I would appreciate only one answer from each of you. Please don't let this become a contest of who is right and who is wrong, you are all entitled to your own opinions. If you wish to discuss it further please use another thread.
I am curious what is one thing you think Gabiel still needs in his life that he does not yet have?

Yeah, please. Ruby's been here a long time and is a regular supporter/lover of IT and Gabriel Byrne.
She does not need me to defend her, of course, but...
I think we should rename this the "protective" thread!

Ruby,
I noticed that many of your posts contain expletives and/or controversial statements that in my opinion, seem to be chosen for their shock value or attention-getting properties (including your recent post which was understandably removed by HBO). How about taking the time to formulate a cogent discussion to convey your views and opinions instead of merely hurling expletives (which takes no thought or skill)? I think you might garner more self-respect and find that others would also be more receptive to your communication. That decision is yours alone to make . . .

Aw, Ruby, cut her a break. I feel overly-protective towards GB all the time...
Seriously, one of the things I have wondered about since the dawning of In Treatment is the line between actor and person. I continue to study the problem but find I am confused much of the time...

No need to be defensive. I felt this crossed the line. Having many clients who are on antidepressants, I tend to be very protective of confidentiality and possible invasion of privacy issues. This sense of protectiveness extended to Gabriel Byrne.

You don't know that he isn't currently taking this type of medication. In some cases, these meds are effective, in others, ineffective, and still others, only partially effective in mitigating symptoms of depression. Regardless, this is not a piece of information I want to know as it feels way too intrusive. Whether or not he is currently taking an antidepressant is his business, and his alone.
Oh my, are we being graded here?

I don't know what he needs 'cuz I don't know him personally. Who knows? Maybe he does feel complete. Maybe he doesn't need anything. I guess you won't really know unless you ask him. I'm not trying to be rude, by the way.
