If you could choose one True Blood character's life path to be changed, who would it be and why? Would you make Bill become mortal again? Sookie a vampire? Sam to be permanently human or animal? -- Tim HBO Forums Host

I would have AB change Eric, so he would be more like the Eric in the books. Eric in the books has more depth to him and he starts to change after he meets Sookie even though he does not realize it or understand his own feelings at first. Bill you get to see his evil side some. I like what they did with Lafayette and Godric alot. Maryanne is another story. She was a good actor but the story line was terrible. This past season was terrible. It became a silly show and I would have to fast forward all the Maryanne bits to get to the good stuff which there was not a lot of.

SPOILER ALERT! From the books we know Sookie is part faerie, so it's entirely possible she may live quite a bit longer than the usual mortal. I'm all for happy endings. If I ruled the world, however (which, of course, I should!), Bill would stop feeling the need to keep things from Sookie, they would marry and be able to have children (that faerie thing has to be good for something!), and they'd live long and prosper. I'd probably also create a woman who's part witch and part faerie who doesn't take any crap for Eric. Not sure what I'd do about everyone else yet, but that's a good start.

In case you missed it, ****BOOK SPOILER**** I want to change the Pythoness. According to legend, Alexander the Great pulled her from her cave and demanded the answer he sought. So she could not have been a vampire at the time, and if I recall, she was changed after this incident because she was so valued. In the book she is a wild-haired old crone but I want her to be a beautiful, sexy cougar! Not werecougar, but hot older woman cougar. Vampire women are all young, while their male counterparts can be older and distinguished. In fact, with Maryanne gone, there are no over-the-top attractive older women on the show. Plus I want her to be legit, I want her to be a faerie too, that explains her ability to see the truth/future.

I would like to see a more prominent role for Pam. I really like her character and the actress that plays her, and I'm wondering what role Lafayette will play next season, since his destiny in the books was to be dead.

compton173 They need to bring back Lois Smith as Gran. Maybe she could come to sookie in a dream and tell her she's part fairy. That would be awesome. or we see her ghost or something. Or heck maybe Gran was part fairy too and sookie sees her in some fairy realm after she finds out she's fairy too. Just bring back lois smith!!! ***************** TY, you are right. I changed my mind, bring back Gran. bluedog

I think that probably is my biggest disappointment for the season. But there's always hope for next season!

If you want to see that Eric you only need to go as far as the books. The Eric you describe is already there.

I think having great actors do a story line with the cast, as in Godric (although that seemed too short ), Lois Smith (I really miss her too), the actress who played Amy(her name went out of my head), and Stephen Root ( Eddie). These have all been great additions to the show, and their characterrs were interesting and we cared about them. I need to care about the characters. I really care about Bill and Sookie and their relationship, so I don't know how I would change their destiny ( I have not read the books), except to say that they should always come back to each other, even if they are separated in some way. I would like to see changes in Eric's character. He's too bored, and jaded. Someone needs to make him laugh out loud, lose his cool, , and FEEL. I just don't know how Sookie could be that person.
