Bill Compton played by Stephen Moyer

In his 173 years on the earth, this vampire has seen more than his share of cruelty and violence - from humans and vampires alike. While he holds no illusions about his own existence, Bill has returned to his family home of Bon Temps hoping to reconnect with whatever humanity he's managed to retain. He never expected this attempt at mainstreaming to include romance, however; especially with a human girl just strange enough to accept him for what he is.

I hope so too. And if Eric's blood can make Sookie dream about him, surely she can manage another longing, lustful dream about her missing fiancé. That would sure help us out at the beginning of the season.

You all have me thinking about that ankle grab in the graveyard scene. He grabs her ankle again in season 2 epi 1. Interesting reuse of an ankle. I hope we see lots more ankle grabbing in season 3.

The only thing wrong with that video is too much Eric. It is supposed to be about all Bill after all!!!

What's with me and dance music tonight? I'm so not into it usually. I was actually scouring around to find a Bill and Nirvana combination but was unsuccessful. I did find Heart Shaped Box, but it was for Sookie and Eric, oh well.

This is video is interesting to me for the contrast in the middle of the song - Bill's smooching style vs the other guy's.
Bill is saying "I can't believe I've found you, I love you, I need you". The other guy's saying "Look at me, I'm god's gift to telepaths". When I was at a party in high school I remember looking over at my best friend making out with Mike X, who imagined himself to be the local Don Juan. The way he was kissing her is just the same way Mr. Slurpy is kissing DreamSooks. I can't help but giggle. Although in fairness to Alex, he probably was doing what the director wanted.

That Bill video is quite entertaining. I've never imagined his life set to techno/dance music...but now it kind of works. LOL

TB does have an absurd amount of hot guys, it's one of the many reasons I think the show has caught on the way it has. The ladies are lovely as well, but IMO it's the dudes who totally bring it home eye-candy-wise.

Yeah, I've seen it mentioned here before, feeling a little envious of someone's watching it for the first time. Although re-watching it is pretty good too.

Be careful with the DVDs - maybe you should just lend out one disk at a time.

Okay, here's something for if you're a little bored.
It's a fan vid of season 2 Bill clips - it's kinda long, but OMG, I just can't help laughing at about 18 seconds in.
After that you can get a little exercise dancing away while watching our guy go through the wringer that was Bill's season two. A few additional laughs are scattered through in the form of baffling special effects. I love it!

Times are tough right now. Long cold winter ahead and not enough SM interviews going around, so I've resorted to re-watching for the millionth time season 1. Can't that AB move up season 3 to like December?

Now my girlfriend wants to borrow my DVD of season 1. I'm so excited cause I introduced her to it after a girls night out, when we were quite intoxicated. But she's really wanting to see the whole season (ie my DVD). She accidentally rented episodes 11 and 12 and calls me up and says she's so lost. No kidding!

But I loved her question. She asked if I thought there were an unusually large number of hot guys on the show. OMG, these newbies, honestly. Wait till she sees Bill (when she's not drunk) in episode 1. She won't know what hit her.

Well, I will buy it for sure anyway, mainly because like so many other Bill fans, I've got to see "makeup sex" and "the finale dance scene" Although there are a good bunch of little interspersed Sookie/Bill scenes that teased me throughout the season. Especially in that beautiful Vampire Hotel.

I also loved Lorena and Bill together too. Just because she is so in love with him. And I loved the actress (don't know her name) who played Lorena. It just adds some excitement and another dimension to our already very complex hunky vampire Bill.

But I just gotta add, Season 2 still didn't have the magic of season 1.

I don't remember who was the first poster who said Happy Halloween and then put up the link to the famous "graveyard scene" But since then I think I watched at least a dozen times, followed by having to view the entire episode. (that scene in slow mo]:)

I just have to comment about that look that Bill gives Sookie right before they go at it. It is just amazing how many emotions SM is able to convey in a spit second. You could just sense that he was asking her what should we do now? At the same time he seemed almost lost, not sure about what she was thinking yet he wanted her so badly, right there and then. But being the gentleman that he is, he awaited her reaction first.

So Lou, you are so right about SM and his ability to make us melt. He makes it all look so easy and effortless, but that just shows how incredibly talented he is, and how nice that he's so HOT as well

Sadly I had to edit my comment cause I realized afterward that I pretty much said the exact same thing that you said Lou. But I still gotta say it, it gives me such pleasure.

Thanks, karakan. I had read the spoilers elsewhere, but it's always good to read them again. Nothing too major, but some things are happening as I thought they would time-wise. Based on the casting sides (if accurate) we will see quite a bit of Bill even when he's being held captive...that's something I very much look forward to seeing!

I'll totally buy season 2. I may not buy both versions (DVD and Blu-Ray) like I did for season 1 - I just loved season 1 that much - but I'll buy one or the other. I have rewatched the early season 2 episodes quite a bit, and some of the Dallas stuff, and then the finale umpteen times.

I actually watched the finale again last night. *sigh* That dance scene alone makes the whole second season better in my eyes.

And I'll admit, even when the show isn't perfect, I still enjoy it immensely.

Thanks, everyone! I've had that song in my mental queue for Bill and Sookie since I did that last "Home" video, like, a year ago. Suddenly it seemed right to do the vid.

I just got off the spoilers thread and there's a great article with Alan Ball and some of the other writers. But I didn't want to put the link up here cause I'm not so sure about the rules on spoilers. Anyway the article just gives info directly from the guys at the top so I don't think it's a big deal to divulge the contents.

Anybody who's interested can go on there and read. It's pretty interesting especially about Bill's captivity.

Thanks for the tip.

PS. I'm not only not buying Season 2 DVD, I have only watched the episodes once.

For example, I still haven't pre-ordered season 2 dvd and I guess I eventually will, but mainly because of Bill's lessened role this season I didn't have that uncontrollable desire to run out and buy the series. Whereas I still watch season 1's episodes over and over.

Yeah, I feel the same way. I did really like season 2 but for me it did not have the same "magic" as season 1 did. I am positive I will buy season 2, I just doubt I will view it as often as I have season 1.
