In his 173 years on the earth, this vampire has seen more than his share of cruelty and violence - from humans and vampires alike. While he holds no illusions about his own existence, Bill has returned to his family home of Bon Temps hoping to reconnect with whatever humanity he's managed to retain. He never expected this attempt at mainstreaming to include romance, however; especially with a human girl just strange enough to accept him for what he is.

I really beleive that we'll get to see more into Bill's
past in season 2~we'll get to see some backstory
into his past,as well as backstory on Eric and Pam
Also hopefully we will get to see more of Sookie and
Jason's childhood and what happened to them.

I watched the ep last nite, loved every minute of it, especially the part where he is eating like a maniac. To see him being so human is touching, and I am so looking forward to more snippets of him when he was human next season. I hope we get more. He is always so guarded as a vamp, I want to see him more relaxed and living. What the heck, I just want to see MORE of him, period!

I watched episode 5 last night with a friend who had never seen it before. It is so easy to forget how great that particular episode is , especially all the scenes with Bill. From Bill sitting in the kitchen listening before he speaks at the DGD to the scene with the Fresca in his LR. Also Lorena makes such an impression for just being in 2 scenes... she is so evil!!! My friend did not see that coming at all! It was like watching them again for the 1st time I can't wait to watch it next SAT but I may have to cheat and see my DVRd episode tonight!

Speaking of Bill and garlic - what about episode 8 where Arlene's kids come over and they have pizza. It looked like Sookie had it with them as she was having dessert with them. Now I don't know about pizza in BT, but most pizza places I know have some sort of garlic in their sauce!! might only be some garlic powder but it usualy has some. Assuming that she did eat - he did tell her in the bathtub in epi 7 "but no garlic".

For me it was when Bill turns to Gran after Sookie and Sam leave and says "He seems nice" and the look on Grans' face as she goes "mmhmmm". Wealth of unspoken thoughts there in that one little sound!!

Ah, I love the smell of Bill backstory in the evening!
I just watched my recording of episode 5 - like I haven't seen it 25 times already - and enjoyed myBill just as much as ever. I call that his "Bewitched" nose twitch when he smells the garlic the rednecks are pressing - it cracks me up everytime!
And is there a funnier line than "I have Frescas?" Okay, "Coffee? Sounds delightful," said with an ever-so-slight sneer might top it. But only barely.
And this watching really made me anxious for Lorena's return. I think she's a fascinating part of Bill's life and I can't wait to see her again on the show. She's obviously pure evil, but with an adorably innocent face which just makes her that much worse. I know she'll cause Bill all sorts of grief, but hey, the drama should be off the charts!

I was just looking at the gorgeous pics from the set with SM walking on set in January. What do you suppose he is carrying in his satchel? Probably a large can of pepper spray. He probably needs it!

For me what makes that scene isn't so much the kiss as the way he lifts his hand to her face and then she looks up into his eyes. I always get a bit weak-kneed at that point.

To me there are so many great lines & scenes in season 1 to mention, of course IMHO they all involve BILL/SM. He can convey so much emotion with his face and not have to say a word. I think that is why I can watch the episodes over & over.... each time I notice something different. Especially in the early episodes, SM is mesmerizing! He's done such a wonderful job bringing TB BILL to life.
