Ep 09: Plaisir d'Amour

Bill steps in on Sookie's behalf when Longshadow attacks her, but he crosses a dangerous line in the process. Eric seizes the opportunity to snare him in some tricky negotiations, while Tara does some dickering of her own over the cost of exorcising another demon. Jason, as usual, manages to end up in worse shape than anyone: He's made the drastic blunder of holding a vampire prisoner in his basement.

Did you guys notice the book "Dracula" in the bookshelf behind Eric's desk? I can't believe I took my eyes off Eric long enough to notice it!

I wondered why Sookie was not picking up something from Amy when she met her, however, if I had just spent a night rolling in the graveyard with Bill, my brain would be pretty cloudy!! Oooo, yummy!

Just had to add one more rant about Amy.

So Sookie confides in her that she is going to Bill's house because nobody will expect her to be there. And what's the first thing Amy does? She immediately tells someone else! Fortunately, it was Sam, and as far as we know, he was there to protect Sookie.

But Amy didn't know that! For all she knows, she was telling the killer where to find Sookie.

Yes but she's attacked by the Rats a day or two later after she saved him, so he has had time to get his strength back.

I love the series but am SO tired of Jason. I fast forward when he is on. Jason is useless to the plot

Just have to say, original book Eric is the one to stake Longshadow, not Bill. So Alan Ball created Eric not doing anything about Longshadow and having Bill do it so he could detour into this tribunal crap. This isn't the first time they have given TV Bill the things that Book Eric does. It seems AB wants to make Bill more likable in the show and the ultimate hero for Sookie

Just throwin' my props out for Eric. :)

I enjoyed last weeks episode but have to admit I'm really getting tired of all the scenes of Jason getting laid. More time is spent on Jason and his woman of the moment then on the main characters of the show. I want more Bill and Sookie then I do Jason and his women!

Sorry all you Eric lovers out there but when no one but Bill went to Sookies defense when Longshadow went after her I lost interest in him all together. Come on now he was so eager to pin the theft on a human and didn't bat a eye when it turned out to be another Vampire!

Got to say that I enjoyed the ending with Sookie waking up with a naked sam laying across her feet instead of the dog!! Can't wait till this weeks episode!

Even though Bill wasnt suppose to kill Longshadow im glad he did cause then Sookie would have either been killed or totally drained then turned.
It sucks though that Bill is sentenced for 5 years wrapped in silver, its gonna take a very sore and hard toll on Sookie.I just hope she will still love him when he comes back.....even though 5 years is a long time.

I still have hope for those two.

I began watching the show just to lauph at how bad it was IMO, but then they have epsiodes like the last few (this one incluced) and I know watch it more out of curisoity of what will happen next rather than "OMG I LOVE THIS SHOW".

So now for me my question has become

wtf is up with dog guy? I have never heard of a wear dog.

I must agree though enouph is enouph of the sex sceans invovling Jason I think his name is. I watch californication and my girl friend said that Jason(TB) gets laid than Hank(C) which is extemely true. I swaer he gets laid lke 3 times an episode. Only recently has he been doing a atractive person.

Also this whole vampire trial thing looks kind of dumb and yet interesting.

It's like yeah were going to let sookie who just helped us out get killed by this vampire whose been ripping us off. Then punish bill for trying to protect the girl he loves/semi turned? BRILLIANT!

Then I see he gets sentanced 5 years in silver shakels in a preview really makes me want to watch the next.

So yeah alot of things make me want to keep watching and alot make sme want to hate it.

Ok, one more question kind of related to this episode.

Who is the woman it in the opening credits with the "back-masked" smoke going back into her mouth?

Thanks for clarifying the "Sookie throw". I only saw that episode once, and didn't catch on that Bill ran over and threw him.

Now I won't be perplexed about it.

But I am on Amazon.com right now ordering the 1st book to read after the season is over.

I don't know...Amy is suspicious just by being with Jason. You could see the uncertainty in Sookie when she first met Amy...but...it is SO odd how thoughts don't seem to go Sookie's way so much. And just not even trying with Amy - it's just not feasible to me that Sookie wouldn't take a poke in her head, especially since she now seems to want to protect Jason all the more, as she told Amy, having lost just about everyone of her kin...
