In the season finale, Sookie finds a link to the string of killings in Bon Temps - and ends up in the murderer's vicious crosshairs. Tara decides to make the most of her second chance with Maryann; Jason finds a new calling after an anti-vampire zealot named Orry visits him in jail; Bill tempts fate during his latest attempt to save Sookie; Sam is perturbed by an encounter with an old acquaintance; Lafayette finds himself at the wrong place at the right time.

Good point and I had totally missed that. Which episode was that info mentioned? Just another reason for me to re-watch my DVDs.

I'm new to this site, but I thought perhaps I could mention what no one has yet to say in regards to the Dawn and Maudette question. I don't think how Rene found out about Dawn is too much of a mystery. (co-worker of Arlenes and all that) However, as it pertains to Maudette - the series made a point of saying how she worked at the "local" gas station and that Jason was one of many that frequented that location. Perhaps if your like me and live in a small town you know better than most that the "gossip" doesn't always come from the girls??? Just a thought.

But since both Maudette and Dawn went to Fangtasia, it's not a stretch for both of them to know about each other. And since Arlene did know about Dawn, Dawn probably also told her about Maudette.
Or it could be that enough guys already knew about Maudette, her being so easy. Rene could've already had heard about it from just about any guy who'd seen her. Hell, maybe even Rene could've been seeing her on the sly.

k... I understand Dawn... but Maudette doesn't really make sense. Maud and Jason didn't go at it all of the time. Most of the town folks thought Jason wouldn't touch Maud with a 10 foot pole even though they are both hoes. You know that whole Jason is too good for her thing.
and Jason didn't know about the video camera until Maud told him. Now Jason would seem to be the kind to position himself better for the camera and wink and flex his muscles while he is doing Maud doggie style so for him not to know makes me think this was a one time thing. SO... honestly NO ONE would probably know that Jason and Maud was hooking up esp Rene unless Rene stalked Maud or stalked peeps coming out of Fangtasia... no if Rene did stalk peeps coming out of Fangtasia that would make sense that he would know about Sook, Maud, Dawn and Amy.

I don't think it was a secret (except, of course, to Jason, who's not the most observant). In Episode 4, before Sookie and Bill go to Fangtastia, most of the customers in Merlotte's are thinking that Dawn's a fangbanger and got what she deserved. And I'm sure Arlene didn't help that, either... She's a treat.

Dawn probably told Arlene, who would've told Renee. We all know how well she keeps information a secret...not! And the same may have gone for Maudette. It could be that Dawn saw Maudette there, or may have even gone with Maudette to Fangtasia.
That's my best guess anyway.

Not sure if this is the right thread to ask this question, but I have always wondered how Rene knew that both Maudette and Dawn had been with vampires (and so therefore killed them). Are we to assume that Jason had a conversation with Rene about that, but that we just never saw it? Anyone?.....
