Episode 23: Frenzy

With the crisis in Bon Temps careening out of control, Bill seeks out the advice of the Vampire Queen of Louisiana, Sophie-Anne, but must exercise patience before she gives him critical information. Meanwhile, Sookie and Lafayette find that protecting Tara from herself is more difficult than they anticipated; a desperate Sam turns to an unlikely source for assistance; and Hoyt's allegiance to Maxine is put to the test by Jessica.

Didn't Sookie have a couple of dreams about Bill after she had his blood?

I have seen a clip showing full frontal of Stephen Moyer and he is, definately, packing a serious gun. I went back to youtube to find it again and, naturally, they've removed it. So yes us Bill fans have known this for a while. He's quite large in that area.

Seriously, they stuck with the book on this one. The Queen in the book was very, very young. I think they stated around 14-16 years old. Plus, she didn't have the look in the book. But she has the age, that the Vamps respect, so would love to see her show the bad girl to herself, lol.

True, but I was hoping that it was just Bill putting the idea in her head... If I remember it right, he never stated she would have erotic dreams, just that she would be attracted to him. So once Bill suggested that, it could have given her mind permission to dream and think about Eric in that way, and at the same time, she could tell herself it was only due to the bond.

I want to be a writer for this show.

Sigh.

Does anyone else think that Sookie could be the vessel that Maryann is looking for. Maryann knows Sam is a supe, but she also knows that there is definitely something unique about Sookie.

I don't think it is going to go over well with Sookie that Bill kept knowledge of Hadley from her. He told her that he wasn't keeping anymore secrets from her.

I feel for Jessica. She shouldn't have had to put up with Maxine. Hoyt defending his Mom was noble, but he wasn't right in treating Jessica so poorly. She actually had some control or Maxine would be six feet under.

Yah, it is funny! Considering how mentally flexible he is those must be SOME dreams!

We I haven't given up on this show because of the last episode. I am watching the repeat at 11:30.. Did anyone notice we got to see Gran's friend Everly. I love when they throw little things like that in. I love the fact that Terry wanted Oxy's.

Also I actually liked the scene with Eric, Pam and Arlene's kids. Classic Pam (they are so stupid..) classic Eric they are delicious. I don't think it's bad that Eric has tasted 'teacup human' blood he is a vampire.. I eat veal all the time, does it make me bad? And I still think cows are cute.

Oh and I was spot on with the Ms. Jeanette, Maryanne, and Tara.. Everything in this series means something so Hoyt's Dad, Arlene's kids dad, pussylover.. all that stuff probably means something too we just haven't been given all the clues.

I wish Lafayette didn't have dreams of Eric also... would have been an interesting spin to have Sookie expecting them to be a result of the bond, and then find out that perhaps she's only having them because, subconsciously, a part of her is attracted to him.

But just wishful thinking on my part.

Come on, how could anyone say that Tara is stupid. She made a good point, she is doing what Sookie does constantly. In her heart, Eggs is under the same spell that she was under. I feel that she should've atleast waited to see if they could figure out a way to kill MA. Before she went running back to get Eggs when she knows only Sookie and a Vamp could break the bond, unless she thought she would be able to help him overcome it. Now that was foolish of her.

P.S. Is it me or does anyone hate the scary a** Lafayette they have created. I love his strong personality, but I guess it's apart of some big plan for him.

I am tired of Jason quoting the Church.

I am happy that Hoyt's mother is just spilling the beans because when she comes to, if she comes to, she won't have anything to use. I feel sorry for Jessica. I like her character, alot. :)

But what is up with that big *ss egg in the bed? Wasn't that an egg? Who did it come from? Is that something that will be resolved this season or next?

Also, I am glad that they didn't stick exactly to the books. It's like looking at hidden books that won't be published. So, it's cool by me.

Doesn't that make you sad? People don't read anymore. It makes me cranky! But yah, what is great about this show is being able to enjoy (or obsess-- you say potato, I say patato etc,) something so completely unimportant. Best time waster ever!!!

I didn't know about the books either, untill after I had started the series! But both are great.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

I want to read the books because of the show! I was always told never read the book before seeing the movie otherwise u'll hate the movie. So same concept applies...waiting for the show to get further along until I start reading the books.

Don't you just love how Rutina plays her though? All that vulnerability and rage? Wow.
