Meanwhile, Sophie-Anne warns Eric to keep the lid on Bill's inquisitiveness; Jason leads Andy into the heroic abyss; and Hoyt has a hard time swallowing Maxine's endless stream of insults. Deliberating on what may be his final move to save Sookie and the town, Sam is forced to put his trust, and his life, in a most unlikely ally.
True Blood will be on hiatus over the holiday weekend. The finale airs Sunday, 9/13.

I think it was the bull head that Laf was carrying. It probably was a real bull head....though it was kind of small.
I think that is where same got the imprint from.

As others have mentioned, rodeos have visited BonTemps. Sam once said Merlotte's was empty because everybody was at the rodeo.

Maybe, maybe not. Lets keep an open mind regarding this series, because it does not stay in a formulaic box of any kind.

This is what I think. Bill and Sam planned ahead what happened. Sam knows he needs a template, so maybe there was one hidden, maybe he looked at a bull hard before he left for the party, maybe he used MA's bull mask, I don't know, but those guys wouldn't have missed that detail.
I loved it too! I am re-reading the books during the hiatus.

I wondered the same thing about the bull myself, where did he see it? Also, how did he know that THAT bull would be the one to fool her? Did she not know what he looked like? Could it have been any bull?
