Nothing could be more true. Despite his screw ups with the extended version of the Maryann story and the insistence on focusing his show around St. Bill and Snookie I do believe that AB is not stupid. He has a gold mine in AS and I think he is going to do everything he can to cash in on that no matter what he says about creating his "art" and not listening to fan opinions.

But the Cullen family of vamps do ride a very fine line. When Bella gets a itty-bitty papercut, one of Edwards vamp "brothers" goes absolutely apeshit. That bloodlust thing is always there, just under their lily white skin.

No. it's like a vampire version of being a vegetarian.
And if I remember correctly, it is only Edward's family of vamps that feed this way. The other vamps in the series do infact feed on humans. it is just never really shown.
