Or when he was lying back down to sleep and hit his head and the way he said, 'ow' . . . funny!
I was glad to see that he already has some reservations about the group and realizes he doesn't actually belong . . . although easily influenced and manipulated while he looks for purpose, I think it is forshadowing that he will eventually help Sookie & Co. when they get to Dallas and find/free Godric - which may be the only think that gets him off the hook with Eric . . . cause I still think there will be reprecussions from his involvement with Eddie . . .
But not before he hooks up with Sarah (and I suspect, Steve) . . . he won't be chaste for too long!
JMO - not spoilers . . .

I like the Jason storyline too. I think it's illustrating how the FotS people operate: how they attract followers, what buttons they push to manipulate people, etc. I like that the Newlins are affable and even likable people; their apparent normalcy (to date) makes their message more seductive and reasonable.
Jason escaped what was possibly a death penalty case so it is natural he wants to find meaning for his life and falls prey to this church particularly since they were the only ones who supported him when he was in jail. I also like that Jason hasn't forgotten Eddie, and that he pointed out to Sarah that Rene was a "person" and killed his girlfriend and his grandmother.

I have a feeling poor Jason is a babe in the woods to these people....Maybe they don't feed on blood, but THEY are definitely vampires of one sort or another...Maybe they recruit members to their side with seduction...and pudding! With whipped cream of course, and maybe a cherry?

Wow, alot of people don't understand nor like the whole FOTS thing with Jason. I think this is a great story line for Jason, for one it's making Jason think. Which is always a good thing. Even if the path is wrong and may not be what he thinks it is, it will spark things for him. He is going thru a transformation and will grow from this. Just like with anyone in real life, you go thru things and learn from experience. There is a great plan for Jason... those of you who have read the books know what I'm talking about.
And for the people who think the FOTS is weird and out of place. It's meant to be weird and out of place. The whole thing is scoffing at itself. So just sit back and laugh at it, it's one of the main points of it all. It's supposed to be weird, funny, and wrong. Nothing to take that seriously.
Oh and don't worry.. I'm sure he will be naked again soon.

I'm so glad Lafayette went ahead and put Jason out there about what happened to Eddie. I was wondering how this would pan out... but seems like now they will leave him alone a little thanks to valuable dear old sookie... they may give him some grief, but if he explains truthfully that he didn't have a clue amy had that in mind, the vamps may look at it as settled and done as a life for a life since amy is dead. i still think sookie will be pretty darn devastated when she finds out jason was mixed up with the vamp-haters on top of lying and saying that he was going to 'Marlboro' camp and not a FOTS vampire hating camp. Remember when sookie took up for him in front of arlene, rene and hoyt saying Jason was not capable of that kind of mean-ness associated with fangbanger killings... and that he was just a self-centered egotistical hornball or something like that.

I don't think she meant racist as in the way we classify race our current society. I believe she meant the vampire race. I think in season one, one of the media folks, maybe Bill Maher, says something about "your (vampire) race has committed attrocities" or something like that to the vampire spokesperson (Nan?). In that respect, and based on your comment, I think you would agree that the FOS is racist against the vampire race.

I would say that Jason's character is the weakest so far but he has the most capability to grow. They can do so much for his character but I don't think they are getting there. When they switch to Jason I moan and not a good moan it's god why are they switch to this crap. The whole FOTS day camp was weird and out of place. He now has a nemeses cause he took a flag in the end zone. Which is like how old is that guy 12? Oooo he took your flag get over yourself. Isn't the whole FOTS thing is the love your fellow human and hate the fangers? If he is pure to the FOTS he would abide by those rules regardless especially with Jason being their golden cow right now. The whole singing part was so corny and weird I thought I accidentally switched it the Degrassi or Gossip girl. Even though the name of the song was classic... what was it Jesus asked me out or something... **snickers** jebus!
At least they are having him flash back to Eddie. How can you be a vamp hater but what less than a month ago you were saving a vamp. So at least they have him conflicted with that. I didn't read the books so I do not know if that is how his character is written in the books but they NEED to do something else with Jason rather than this.
