Jason works construction by day, but pursues his true calling at night, methodically working his way through every attractive women in Bon Temps. Gossip travels fast in a small town - and his sister Sookie hears plenty of it at Merlotte's - but when it comes to Jason Stackhouse, not many ladies are willing to hold anything against him for long.

He is there more for Sookie's martydom than anything. Actually, in the books, almost every human is there for that reason. In TB, Jason only gets up-in-arms with Sarah after she disparages Sookie, hee hee disparage, she called her a "vampire fucker"! Not really such a bad thing, but it was an insult and Jason reacted. He also went back and about the only bit of cunning he has shown, ws key assist at the church.

Has anyone noticed that the Jason from the Charlaine Harris books is a lot less extreme than the Jason in the Trueblood? In the books, you just mostly just hear others say that Jason is a tomcat. In the series, Jason is like a walking hormone. The guy is like the king of the insensitive, horny, jerks!! If he didn't have that rocking body, I might hate him.

His character reminds me so much of a relative of mine when he was in his teens and early twenties. Not so much in looks (thank god), as only the blond hair is common. It's the phrases, attitude and body language. It creeped me out at first. I told a close family friend and her first reaction was that they're nothing alike. But she watched an episode after that and said she couldn't help but think of that person! Ryan is just way too good in that role.

I wondered about that, too! Jason didn't even put up a fight. But maybe they are going to explain this later. Remember when Pam said to Jason, "you are NOTHING like your sister"? And for that matter what about Hadley, their cousin? Any super powers there? And who is Barry...? > I"m disappointed how quickly Jason fell under > Maryann's spell....I thought he was supposed to be > Sookie's BROTHER? Hello, anyone? If SHE is not > human and Maryann can't "feed" off her humanness, why > is Jason such a pushover? Where is AB going with > this? Maybe Sookie and Jason are only half siblings > or something.

Weird that they had Jason kill Eggs. What will that do to what Tara thinks of him? Will Tara hate Jason now, or rediscover her love through pity for him, and help him escape? Why did Detective Bellefleur (lol) cover for Jason? Will he get in big trouble and even lose his badge? That whole thing just seemed kind of sloppy and unnecessary, but I guess Jason needed another cliffhanger and storyline for next season.

Eggs is dead cause Mehcad Brooks, the actor that plays him, will be playing a lawyer on ABC's "The Deep End". So I knew Eggs would not make it out of season 2. The real question is...why was Jason the one to kill him? Well I am suspect that's another story arc that AB has planned for season 3. Is it June yet?

i was wondering that too but when jimmy was asking him about the pranks they were playing on each other on the show and he still didnt crack a smile i was like ok he is not happy about something. I did not see the interview but will look for it on youtube. Interesting that you bring this up - I saw him on some interview and got the distinct impression that he is not friendly with the rest of the cast. He said something to the effect that they (meaning Stephen Moyer, Ana and the rest) keep to themselves. However, whenever I see the others, they are interacting with each other, sitting together or even doing charity events with each other (for example, Stephen, Ana and Sam did some charity event for a charity Sam is involved with). Anyone got an inside scoop on this?
