We know nothing except that Franklin Mott (the vampire Tara dated) has been cast. Supposedly they are looking for someone to cast as Debbie Pelt. No mention of Alcide yet.

I've been checking around town and haven't found anyone who even knows what it is. Even our biggest beverage distributor had no idea what it was.

I think there is still time for the writers to redeem Sophie Ann. We haven't seen alot of her yet so her character isn't cast in stone. I know ERW has copped a lot of flack for her portrayal but I think she did improve in the finale. When she first appeared in Ep 11 it was a rude shock - I wasn't surprised to see her different from the books but I WAS surprised that she just reeled off her dialogue and it looked like the director had gone on a tea break while she did those scenes. If you're going to make her "insane" - then let's see it. Make her freaking batshit crazy. I think we saw a hint of that in the finale.

Agreed ... season 1 was the best except for episodes 8 and 9 in season 2. Too much going on in season 2

Has anyone out there been able to find the Tru Blood drink in heir local stores? I have not and was wondering if it is only available through the HBO online store.

>The short greased back hair and tank tops are such a turn off. Totally agree on the greased back hair, what type of hard-core vampire would use styling gell? Too metro-sexual for me. However, I still liked the shorter hair instead of the long wig. In the first sexual dream fantasy, Eric has perfect hair. And his hair look great all wind-blown and messy after flying to the Queen's palace. As for the black tank tops, it's clearly for female audiences. Afterall, he can't always be shirtless. -- though it seems like that what they want, because he's constantly taking off his jacket and showing skin. Wonder how often vampires do laundry, because seems he like always wearing that shirt? I would have toss it after the bombing when there was vampire bits stuck to it. -- Edited by cadsarg at 10/07/2009 3:50 PM PDT

It's ok, but I can't get past the change in Eric from being mysterious and dark to looking like a weak thug. The short greased back hair and tank tops are such a turn off. And I hate the blonde vampire queen with zits. What a flake. The Marianne thing got really really tiresome by the end. Enough of Tara's various torments already. I wish things were staying truer to the books which I love. but I'm enjoying the Jessica/Hoyt romance. They are fun and cute. Sookie looked great this season. Bill not so much. Not loving the red rimmed eyes and white make up. Too Twilight for me. Jason is always great in his hot stupidly funny way. I'll watch the next season, but I'd like to see more attention to atmosphere and to have scenes be less repetitive eg: Marianne's dumb orgies and silly shaking powers. How about getting a little more creative if you have to have nudity and sex?

Still love, love, lovin' it! AB and the cast have done an awesome job with both the story and character development. I read the books before I saw the show, and although there are some similarities, they're not exact duplicate. Nor do I think they should be. I agree that it's entirely too long between seasons, because I'm desperately waiting for S3!

Loving it? Not so much after S2. I'll come back and give S3 a try. But, if AB disappoints me again like he did with S2, I don't know if I will continue watching. At least the books are still there.
