Still love, love, lovin' it! AB and the cast have done an awesome job with both the story and character development. I read the books before I saw the show, and although there are some similarities, they're not exact duplicate. Nor do I think they should be. I agree that it's entirely too long between seasons, because I'm desperately waiting for S3!

Loving it? Not so much after S2. I'll come back and give S3 a try. But, if AB disappoints me again like he did with S2, I don't know if I will continue watching. At least the books are still there.

I might be loving it if it was still on. Com'mon HBO 9 months is too long to wait. We need two seasons or 24 pisodes a year.

I'm on the fence since the end of the last season. I was not impressed with Evan Rachel Wood as the Queen, she just didn't do it for me at all, she seemed way too vacuous. I also didn't like how long the Maryann thing went on for, it was too much. I definitely wanted to see more Godrich, he was SO interesting - I also loved how he gave a new side to Eric. Looking forward to Season 3...and of course lots more Eric.

I completely agree. The second season, although good, kind of went off one the Mary Ann trip that was very distracting. But if it was all about Sookie I think people would get bored. The vamps are the best part though. I am in the middle of the books right now and I cant wait to see what they are going to turn Club Dead into...

I just bought seasons one and two on DVD. I was disappointed with the last two episodes of season two. But True Blood is still my favorite TV series. I was really tired of the Mary Ann trip, too. However, I think that the writers have to have a multi-dimensional story line or the series might not be as interesting. Like most of the fans, I like the vampires the best. But I think that it would be too boring if the show was only about vamps. If the third season follows the books, we should get introduced to some new supes. I am stilling loving True Blood so much! How will I get through a whole year without it?!

I love everything about True Blood except the portrayal of Queen Sophie-Anne LeClerq. I think the deviations from the book have been great, but the Queen should not be a immature, horny, nouveau-riche girl. Her monogamous love for Hadley and suffering after Hadley's death is what made her such an intriguing character in the book; along with her youthful looks juxtaposed with her great maturity. We see no depth (or potential depth) in her rendition in the last two episodes: a spoiled Princess, not a fascinating Queen. -- Edited by MrBlood at 09/25/2009 3:14 PM PDT

Love it, But am hoping for more insight into the characters. Loved Season 1 more because you could just drink in the scenes. The acting was absolutely amazing. It was like we, the viewers were right there in Bon Temp. As if we were somehow invisibly peeking in on the private lives of all the characters.

Yes, I do still love the show as I think it has a great cast and there is a lot to tell in the story. We need to see some good character development and great writing to allow this cast to really act. I love it enough to come back next Season and hopefully they can get back on track and give us what we loved about Season 1.

Yes I love the show, will continue to love the show, despite the Maryann sidetrack, which was just too over the top, in my opinion. Anyway, I probably will be checking in from time to time, to read the buzz anc comment here and there. Take care all, love ya

Saw Stephen Moyer on the Emmy's last night and loved being reminded of the show. It was excellent PR for TrueBlood having it's hunky vampire represent it on the red carpet and as a presenter. LOVE the show.

Yes! I love this show! It is multi-faceted & multi-layered. This factor makes repeated viewings not only possible, but desirable. I remember on Season I, Viewers thought that the Pilot show was stupid, that Tara's storyline was over the top & boring, and that they thought they couldn't take one more episode with Jason's gratuitous sex! As such, I'm not surprised to hear the same reactions occurring with Season II. I loved the Bill/Sookie storyline, was less entralled by the other characters, (Sam put me off by being so needy in Season I) and thinking that Malcom, Lliam, and Diane were completely campy & ridiculous when they met Sookie at the door of Bills house! Somehow, magically, I couldn't quit watching, I was hooked, drawn in, etc. I now know I love True Blood with all it's campiness and finery. I think AB's ability to create "counterpoint", something rich & enthralling along with something that grates your nerves & revulses you is sheer genius! I believe it's what hooks you, keeps you watching, surprised, and caring. I loved Season II. I will buy the DVD's and be back for Season III to watch the show that has had so much power, made us all feel so much intensly, and either love or hate it's characters. What genius! What a surprise~! I was bored with TV prior to this. Kudos AB!
