Ok everyone: I just tried my first ever piece of Red Velvet Cake at my local diner! It was absolutely delicious! They have never offered that cake there before, and I was so surprised to see it on the menu! Because of TB and Mrs. Fortenberry, I just HAD to try it. It was neat how the actual cake inside was red!!! Never seen that before (at least not up North here). It was creamy and smooth and melted in my mouth. I definitely would order it again. Thanks True Blood!!!

Hostmaggie: The books and AlanBall's "interpertation of the books that Charlaine Harris wrote are two different things~ and very rarely shall the two meet" As far as I know "the Book Eric & the show Eric are as different as night and day". Show Eric is very serious. Whereas,Book eric has a wicked sense of humour! I'm on book 2~almost finished and will begin on 3. -- Marleneemm~I tell it like I see it, I'll never lie to you. Marleneemm, I may just start! I am having withdrawals! So it won't spoil anything for me by reading them? I know there is enough different to enjoy both for what they are. Maybe I will start book 1, you are right, I must give in!

HostMaggie: You can start reading book 1~ by the time you finish it~season 2 will be just about starting. Season two start date: JUNE 14,2009 Time: 9:00PM As we know Alan Ball isn't/is keeping to the books~~ he's been putting his "own spin on the show" but also keeping some things intact??? Don't be afraid of reading the books. -- Marleneemm~I tell it like I see it, I'll never lie to you. What you see is what you get~ but if I become your friend I'm your friend for LIFE!!

I haven't read the books yet. I am watching the boards and waiting for Season 2. I think I will wait a while longer before reading them. I want to enjoy them for all that they are. But I am wasting away here waiting for season 2!!!

Noriblue: I know what you mean because like you I was a fan of the books long before the show was picked up and like you when the show aired I was appalled at the differences. I was angry that the show had taken a different direction, however due to the differences that I so detested early on I found that even though I had read the books the show was something that surprised me. I may have known how the book had written my favorite character but here was a way to see them do something entirely new. I have to also agree with you on Jason and Tara but I do realize that they were given stories which are completely AB's and not that of CH's imagination, so perhaps they aren't developed enough for the fans of the books to appreciate them quite yet. As far as the sex scenes with Jason as a fan of the male form I could never openly admit to wanting to see him clothed more but I believe that with his turn to the FoTS in the upcoming season that your wish may well be granted. -- Team ERIC!!!

Noriblue: Welcome to the boards and the conversations. Stop by often and try leaving your thoughts on the Member Created boards and also on the Official Boards. Look to reading you thoughts on TB. -- Marleneemm~I tell it like I see it, I'll never lie to you. What you see is what you get~ but if I become your friend I'm your friend for LIFE!!

I read the books just before the TV show started. Big mistake on my part. I ended up complaining and b*tching while watching the TV show. The show surely is different than the books. But I understand that the creator/producer needed to spice things up, for the tv show. I think they're doing a great job. However, I would like to see more of the main characters: Bill, Sookie, Bill and Sam (even Pam). Pam is so much fun. I think there's tooooooooooo much tv time of Jason and Tara. Great actor/actresses played the parts, but they're not my favorite characters in the books or the tv show. If I could, I would fast-forward Tara and Jason scenes. Less Jason sex scenes please... -_- Thanks.

Just to answer a few of the "book" questions. The next book in the installment is due out May 9th its the 9th book in the series titled Dead and Gone. The short stories which have already been published are going to be complied into a book, or more commonly labled book 10. However, in my personal opinion the three of those that are important to the series and which will give you more insight is Bite, Wolfsbane and Mistletoe, and for some Eric fun... Many Bloody Returns. Hope this helps. -- Team ERIC!!!

I don't know. Its a bit predictable. I might not renew my HBO. I like the series, but it just isn't that well written. And I am not going to watch this just to see whom Suky wants to boff next. In fact isn't it starting to follow the books? Then why the heck would I want to watch it. I can just go on linne and find out what happens with maybe a few different details? I would rather have a show that was original.
