I totally agree! The books are so much better, why would they change so much of the material? And last weeks episode was unnecessarily gory. I just don't get it. I'm gonna keep reading the books though, for sure!!

I am totally loving this show right now. I love Bill and Sookie and I really hope they stay together in the show. I read the books and like them, but love the show so much more. The only thing I am sick of is Jason and his weird trippy sex scenes. Other than that, I am really loving it.

Not really, I thought it was horrid at first, then the last 3 or so episodes started to change my mind, but then this past weeks episode reminded me of why I watch it out of curioisty and for how bad it can be.

Yes, I definitely continue loving True Blood. I have read the books, and I am pleased that Alan Ball decided to change up some things ... makes it far more interesting. Stephen Moyer's portrayal of Bill is right on--he is so totally a vampire with a human heart. The Jason/Amy story line is ?okay? but I would much prefer to have Bill, Sookie, Sam, Eric or Pam on the screen.

Loving it? I'm hardly liking it anymore.

I've read the books and while I never expected the TV series to follow them exactly, I did expect it to bear some resemblance to the original material.

Eric, my favorite character in the series by far, hasn't even made an appearance in the show yet! There may be a vampire in the scene and they may call him Eric, but that's not the Eric that Charlaine Harris created. I don't blame the actor at all... he's making due with what he's been given.

... and don't get me started on the fact that they've gotten rid of Bubba.

All the nonsense with demons, V, Tara & Sam, Jason & his conquests, the tribunal, etc. needs to stop. There is plenty of awesome material to work with in the books, why are they inventing new and vastly inferior subplots to fill time?

I really hope that the show gets on track, but I'm pretty sure it jumped the shark around episode 4 and isn't coming back. :(

Honestly, I'm not loving it nearly as much as I did. I have stopped watching when it airs and started recording it. I fast forward through Jason, Amy, Tara's mom and Tara if she isn't with Sam or Sookie.

I am sick of Jason's butt, V trips and demon possession (which I didn't watch at all).

I also wish that if they were going to have AS play Igor the hulking, humorless, supporting player for Bill vamp, they wouldn't have named him Eric, who is an entirely different character.

That all being said, SM is still doing a great job. So is AS considering the script he has been given. So I will watch the rest of the season. Next one, maybe not.

HI Guys, I am new to the boards but have been "stalking for awhile". I am absolutely OBSESSED with this show and the characters of Sookie & Bill. Smoldering, hot, messy sex is all that comes to mind!!!

I have even taped all 9 episodes and am passing it around to my friends who are now hooked. Our favorite saying, Sookie, Sookie!!!!

I'm very much in love and can't remember ever being so hooked to show. There is not enough Bill and Sookie and I'm having a hard time with the fact that the season is about over .

Bill's "unexpected visit" comment is made to Sookie in explaining the presence of Malcolm and company. I'm with you on Bill not "waking up" when the sun went down and letting Sookie know he is ok.
As for addicted. Absolutely, I go through withdrawal every week and it gets worse the closer I get to Sunday night.
I'm sure there wil be a Season two. My On Demand already shows these episodes as being Season one!
