I have to agree. The Maryann storyline was dragged out for too long but I love Michelle Forbes portrayal of the maenad. She and Allan Hyde were the highlights of S2 along with my favorite regulars Eric, Pam and Lafayette. Sorry to see her go.

While I got very tired of Maryanne the character, I thought that Michelle Forbes was one of the better actors in Season 2. She did a great job.

Michelle Forbes is a very good actress. The story line just went on too long. And the vampires were too uninvolved ( until the very end) with her destructive presence.
I believe the costume designer is Judith Fischer (I hope I got it right). And she is amazing. The cast thinks so, and I agree. MF was thrilled with her costumes for Maryann (she said in a Q & A.)

I thought the actress who played Maryann did a great job. Just the right amount of psychosis. Lol.
Does anyone else agree that the writer of the books might've been thinking of the hypocrisy of people like Marianne "A Course in Miracles" Williamson when she wrote the character Maryann the maenad? The maenad talks JUST like MW. Also, MW is 'alleged' to have yelled at and slapped volunteers in the early Project Angel Food kitchen.
I know...sacrilege. Which is my point.

The women that is playing Nan Flanagan would be the best Queen. We saw her take charge after the bombing and questioning Dear Godric.

I actually just finished the books and I wondered why AB didn't cast Michelle Forbes as the Fairy Godmother Claudine. She would have fit the part perfectly. This Maenad storyline was just to all consuming. Maybe she will come back (in the form of an egg--tee, hee), hatch, and be a good Fae. Hint to the writers.
When I saw Ms. Forbes, I too thought that she would make a great Claudine. She fit the description to a tee. But, please, no more egg nonsense.
I could see David Copperfield as Claude or that guy on HGTV - Osterman, as playing Claude.

It may be a small thing, but I just had to post that I'm personnally going to miss Mary Anne's wardrobe. Those were some great clothes that ALWAYS were contemporary but also in character.

M.F. acting abilities are fine but I am so glad that we do not have to suffer through anymore of the Maryanne drama.
