Season 2....wasn't all that great after all.

Does anyone know when they are going to release Trueblood Season 2 on DVD. Don't get HBO and brought Season 1 and just finished watching it. Can't wait to see the next season.

I think the only way to not make Sookie come off as a cold-hearted whoreish fangbanger is to have the Bill/QSA plot line to give a way out. Yeah, he loves her, but he was sent to her as work and had to seduce her. He did a good job of it.
Otherwise, the only other way I can see it working is if Bill willingly goes to Lorena. This would free Sookie up. One of the two HAS to happen for Alcide, Eric, and the rest of the book plot or potential use to make sense and work (not to mention not piss off a lot of people).
So to be clear, the way TB Sookie has defined herself - the only way Sookie/Bill will be over without Sookie looking like a vampire ho is to have Bill cheat on her or betray her trust by fooling her into a relationship, thus completing his job QSA hired him for. He falls in love in the process, sure, and I am sure AB can drool over a 1000 ways to make that into a white knight.

You are right but the point is still the same. It is the first time in the books that Eric acknowledges his feelings for Sookie. I am looking forward to the emotion that AS will display on his beautiful face when he makes that acknowledgement as Eric. We all know what a fantastic actor he is and I'm sure he will make us all feel what Eric feels. (If AB lets him)

Well, when you say it like that it doesn't seem like such a good thing...maybe Sookie should stay will Bill. 
But, yes, I agree that they need to do better by Bill. S1 was OK - he was a vampire trying to mainstream. But S2? He was totally emasculated. If they ever even tried for one second to do that to Eric, I might have to get violent...

I don't like TB Sookie either. She screwed Bill over too. She betrayed Bill, with Sam, while he's standing trial for saving her life. I think that Sookie is very fickle. I don't think that Bill needs to betray her in order for her to go for Eric. I'm glad that she's going with Eric. This free's Bill up and I think they will give him a seperate and more interesting story while Eric is having to deal with Sookie.

But Alcide has a huge downside. I would choose Quinn over him and Quinn was irritating with the whole "Babe" thing.
Besides, I read somewhere that CH has stated that the only two characters who will never be killed off are Sookie and Eric.

I really hope she doesn't end up with Alcide. He chose Debbie, Marie-Star over Sookie many times-and believed anything bad about her that Debbie told him. He also is rude to her and shows disgusted anytime she is with another guy or she mentions someone else. I wouldn't want to be with anyone who judged me harshly based on past guys-which he does all the time. He's hurt her a lot over the years-plus the whole wierd pack-sex thing in book 8-gross. He calls on Sookie when he wants to use her ability (the funeral, pack master contest, using amelia when Marie-Star died, etc). Then when she helps him he doesn't show any gratitude-and doesn't even try to protect her when fighting starts. I also think he would be disgusted to find out about the blood bond between her and Eric. Eric will always be apart of her life and he can't change that-unless he kills Eric-which I don't think Sookie would ever agree to nor do I think she could love someone who killed Eric. If she ends up with someone besides Eric I think it would have to be a new person introduced into the series-cause the guys in her past don't meet my standards. I've been wondering if she might go back to Bill-at least for awhile-cause of all the stuff at the end of book 9. She realizes that he would die for her and she is really touched by it. It could be enough for her to give Bill another chance-but I also don't think he could live with the blood bond to Eric either.
I don't know who she'll end up with-but CH said she doesn't know how many more books she'll write with Sookie-so hopefully we have plently of reading ahead of us!
