For a while...when we were on our rant about having Eduardo cast as Alcide...
whenever a person googled about Alcide...up popped Eduardo...We made Eduardo #1 on google....
So who knows if these forums have any effect on HBO...but poor Eduardo must have been shocked to see how many hits he was getting from all of us checking out his pics!

I'm sure that there are a lot of viewers who don't come to the forums... but I have a feeling that a lot of TV critics and reviewers lurk around. It seems like they have a better pulse on fan opinion, and it's the only way besides relying on just television ratings, that fans can be heard.
How many Internet bloggers have come out on this show? And then there are now tons of YouTube fan clips. HBO would be foolish not to cash in; and so would AB.
It's the viewers/fans who make and break shows, and actors' careers. And we can easily tank a show if the writing goes south as well.

I think there are tons more people who watch the show than are on these boards. Lots. None of my friends who watch it come here. They do not do forums.

It's a HBO board, and they are his boss. So, maybe AB doesn't, but he will hear about what going to make his show successful, even if he doesn't want to listen.

Why would AB pay any attention to these boards? I don't expect him to. I just enjoy speaking with others who watch the show and speculating.
His little 'leaks' I find amusing. The last one about Bill's mission...well, I would be SURPRISED if that didn't happen in some form. He speaks about drama and conflict. That is juicy drama and conflict. It fueled...4 or 5 books in the series.
I am like a record. Even though the storyline is different, he is still very much following the spirit of the books in my opinion. Eric and Sookie have the potential to become electric! Many people feel it. It won't be a let down when it happens either  I just hope Eric is a revealing as he was on the rooftop. Just the thought makes me smile.

Aww i really hope you dont feel this way and its just fustration from all the miss information that has been thrown out and the current way the series left off that has made you feel this way. Im sure AB doesnt want to fustrate us intentionally. I mean why upset and fustrate your fanbase? Fans are loyal and spend money on their passions lol. Im willing to wait it out. I think the cast is perfect. I just wish the creative team would get their shit together and realize we dont need to be "surprised and shocked" i want a good story that makes sense above one character getting special treatment. The books have a solid story to tell..dont fix what isnt broken.
If he can justify his changes in a good story that flows im all for it...if we are left going wtf because of bad writting and poor character developement then the 3rd season will be my last.

I live in Massachusetts...home of the Patriots...I love Randy Moss (on field..I think he might be a jerk off field)..
But since they are my home town team..thought I should put in my 2 cents..
and I said hometown....not necessarily who I root for...just don't tell anybody!

Actually, I live in Seattle. I'm not a Jets fan, but the seahawks would definitely put Randy Moss and Tom Brady in their places this year.

The Patriots will lose to the Jets. They got lucky against the Bills. Did you see that field goal? Awful. I will take the 3 1/2 pts the Jets have over the Pats and make a fistful of cash this weekend.

Hi I live and work in a man's world. (3 brothers- IT dept) so I think I know what you guys are looking for. Tell me if I am on the right track.
You find the romance piece to be the least interesting thing but still are interested in the characters themselves minus the romance but you like the sex. You haven't read the books, so you come to this thread to get insights that you don't have about the characters themselves so you can postulate possible story lines. You won't read the books because well, they are girl books.
You would like conversations like "In the book Jason turns into a half were panther after being bitten repeatedly by a full were panther that is in love with the were panther that Jason is dating. How would that fit in the story line?
Basically I think you are looking for other character info so you can converse. is that right?

Yeah, I TOTALLY agree. I don't know if any of you are football fans (I myself have been a RABID Pats fan my entire life), but in this house we refer to AB as the Bill Belichick of TV drama. (Belichick is the head coach of the New England Patriots who is infamous for strewing about misleading information.) You just can't trust a single word he says.

Ok, see, I think that's interesting. I wonder if that's a "guy thing", because my husband feels the same way. Personally, my FAVORITE part of the TV series is comparing it to the books.
However, it does make me wonder why you're choosing to read about comparing them when you're not interested in that? (I am NOT telling you you can't be here, so don't take it the wrong way, I'm just truly curious as to why you are here if it doesn't interest you.)
