Thanks for the trailer link, AWESOME. I'm speaking my mind, but I just do NOT like Sam. He is a nice guy, but he creeps me out. I know he cares for Sookie, I know he cares for a lot of women, but please, I can't even imagine being attracted to him. It's not that he isn't handsome, there is just something about him that I do not like. I know in the books he is different, and maybe I like him better, but even in the books I don't think he is right for Sookie. Just speaking my mind!

"Bubba" is still raking it in! NEW YORK (Reuters) ? Elvis Presley may have left the building several decades ago, but his earning power is far from diminished with Forbes.com ranking him the top-earning dead celebrity for the second year in a row. Presley pulled in $52 million in the past year, helped by increased visitors to his Graceland estate to commemorate the 30th anniversary of his death and new ventures like the Elvis Sirius Satellite Radio show, according to the web site. He should be able to afford a lot of cats with that money. -- "Honestly - did you think you could keep her to yourself?" * ~ Eric ~ *

MsConsuelo,,,the way I see it is (please understand I may get corrected...this is OMHO). Sam has to shift during the full moon...he has no choice..by dawn he has to shift back...but he can also shift anytime at dusk if he wants to. Shifters as a race/type can only shift at night so that time which actually was a full moon, he didn't make it back in time. He was there many times to guard Sookie, what good he could do I don't know. But I love Sam anyway!!

I just had a brain storm about Sam running through the woods starkers. We know ITB he was a shapeshifter & could change into any animal, at any time, but chose the Collie dog because it's not likely to be shot at. But suppose AB changed the rules just slightly, & while Sam is still a shapeshifter, he can only do it at night. If he gets caught out somewhere by sunrise he just has to grit his teeth & get home any way he can. Normally he would be careful about how far he gets from home, but I suppose he could make a mistake, especially under emotional pressure, & just be too far from home to get there before the sun came up. Can anyone remember him as the dog during the day? The second dog (who I think is just a dog) obscures the picture a little, but what do you think? -- Connie

WOW. This new preview is AWESOME. So it seems that Sam is a dog LOL. Poor Tina the cat. Who on earth would do such a thing to a poor harmless cat? Whooooaaaaaaa!!! A DOG is a cat's natural enemy... And when Andy says something to Sam about his story not checking out, he goes into the bar and changes to the dog. WHOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. I wonder how Sookie is going to react seeing Sam and Tara kissing? I still don't think that Eric is referring to Sookie when he says"I will take the girl". I just don't know..... Can't WAIT till Sunday. At least it's only 39 hours and 46 minutes until we get to see

Was it only online or has HBO been showing it all day? It even tells you that it is Tina the cat who is killed at Sookie's house. Alot of great new scenes that were not in last week's preview. I love what AB is doing, always keeping us guessing and throwing in surprises! Thanks so much for posting this!!!

A (slightly) related topic: I saw 'Twilight' in the local Piggley Wiggley (just kidding, it was Raleys), picked it up & read the back cover & realized I read this book a couple of years ago. I remember, I didn't like it much, for two main reasons: 1) It didn't seem to me much happened in the book; & B) I hated the end, where the girl is lured into danger, realizes she can't fight off a vampire & GIVES UP! She's then saved by someone, her vampire boyfriend I think. But the point is, Sookie would have gone down swinging! In fact, Sookie does go down swinging, in just about every book, sometimes more than once in a book. I know I'm not the demographic this book is aimed at... well hell, I can't help myself: Truman Capote quote: 'A dangling participle is a grammar error up with which I will not put'. So, anyway, before I was so rudely interrupted: I know I am not the demographic at which this book is aimed & perhaps that's why the story doesn't appeal to me. Anyone else over the age of about 25 who has read this book? What do you think? -- Connie

Tipsey (if you're still around) - I think the grammar of that sentence leaves something to be desired. I jumped to the same conclusion you did, but having read what you wrote, I decided the writer didn't mean what she said. Or she didn't mean what I thought she said. Or she meant something entirely different than she said. Or something... I think she meant someone had reported what you said, to the monitors & that they had taken some action. I haven't got a clue what they did, but they did something. And everyone knows, when the biological end product is hitting the rapidly twirling blades, it's better to do something, anything, than to just stand there & wait for the natural results that will follow. So please, don't run off mad. People are really pretty friendly here... & in worst case scenario, a smart girl doesn't leave the field, she finds a way to get even. -- Connie

On more than one occassion on the show it seems like his mind is somewhere else when folks try to talk to him. ~ In the party scene that has been speculated on on this board she apparently hears someone wishing her harm, she can't tell who it is at the moment because maybe that person is in their "dark place" and the voice is distorted to her. Just my thoughts

I totally agree, I think it was great that Sookie fights off Rene by herself. I really hope they don't have someone help her, because they really have been pushing a lot of Bill coming to her rescue. Through out the books Sookie goes through a lot of crazy and brutal situations and her strength to handle the majority of them on her own is what I like about her, not always expecting help from someone else.

welshwytch67, I suggest reading book 2 - good stuff with Bill and Sookie. It doesn't go into such detail as book one each time, but non the less, we have our own imaginations! Enjoy!
