Though she won't win any congeniality awards, Tara has been Sookie's loyal best friend since childhood. She's built up a tough exterior, taking care of her alcoholic mother, but the stress can make her quick to anger - and hard to employ. She may have found her perfect job - bartending at Merlotte's - where she can use her temper to keep unruly customers in line. Still, she has a soft spot in her heart for Sookie...and her brother Jason.

I love the pic with all the major characters Sook, Bill, Sam, Tara & Jason all together at the premire.. Tara is in a red dress... when I saw that picture of her my mouth was gapping open. Jebus the woman is gorgeous! The show doesn't do her justice! -- Yeah, yeah put it on a bumper sticker...

The picture is great and just shows that Tara doesn't need any makeup at all. She should go "au natural"; she could get away with it. -- I'm a fair, fragile flower of femininity...and if you don't believe me, I'll rip your face off!

She's [Sookie] been a terrible friend. Nothing could possibly be going on in anyone else's life where they need support too... That is another thing I hate about Sook she isn't there for her friends at all. Sookie was trying to tell Sam to let Tara know about him being a dog. She wasn't trying to put the moves on him which Tara misunderstood. When Sam tried to explain, that woman MaryAnne showed up. Watch the scene again! Trust me any scene with Tara and Sam I am all over it. I didn't take it that way. Sook may have tried to let Tara know that he is a dog but at the same time Tara knew that something happened between Sook and Sam and she was right on the money. Sook and Sam NEVER stated they got their mack on to Tara. Bill knows cause he showed up but Tara just knew with them two glowing over each other. Well like I said before you see it this way I see it that way. NO one is wrong and NO one is right... just a difference in opinions! LOVE! -- Yeah, yeah put it on a bumper sticker...

She looks like she is no joke!

Tara may be a little kooky, but she ain't dumb. And.. I think it hurt her. And... I feel bad about that. Agreed PP! I felt that burn in my heart like on the sparks fly out episode. When Jason is telling her she is the one and Tara finds him screwing the chick behind Merlotts! B*tch you messed up my hair! Don't stop! Funny part but in a way I wanted to die for Tara! That she missed the mark is just so very Sookie. Agreed! Sook can be so evil at times and look down upon people. I hate that part about her... like she is the virgin mary or something. I do have to admit though on the counch I liked Sook. It's been a long time that I could say that. Probably since the episode after her grams died... well the middle of the episode. ha ha -- Yeah, yeah put it on a bumper sticker...

I really felt that Sookie was trying, in her drugged up state, to sell Sam to Tara. That she missed the mark is just so very Sookie. -- --Team Bill We're all a heartbeat away from forever.

I agree with you thisblood, I think Tara knows they were together without knowing. Why in God's name would Sookie be rambling on and on about Sam in that goofy, barfy, syrupy way she has if "something" didn't happen between them. Tara may be a little kooky, but she ain't dumb. And.. I think it hurt her. And... I feel bad about that.

I think Tara deserves a break from the weird and wishy-washy that is Sam. Even if it is for a brief moment in a unsettling, maybe evil, environment produced by Maryann. And if Tara alone can escape any traps laid down by Maryann, I would love the story even more. Forget about Sam saving Tara. She can save herself if it comes down to it. -- Edited by mayBmayBknot at 11/26/2008 12:42 PM PST

You guys misunderstood that entire scene.. Sookie was trying to let Tara know what a great guy Sam was, and Tara got jealous.. She looked cute jealous.. Sam was trying to let her know that he cared for her, then came the demon woman, MaryAnne.. She and Eggs are going to give Sam and Tara hell!! And Jessica and Eric will work on Sookie and Bill.. I think Tara knew that they were together. Even though Sook and Sam didn't say hey hmm yeah we made out when you were missing. That is why she was said that is why she gave him that look when she said well thank goodness that you were there. She was happy that Sook was saved but also said that she knew they were together. She knew they wasn't playing Penacole that is why she said you deserve to be happy and so do I. That is when Sam says wait Tara and he saw Maryanne. I don't think Sam is about opportunities. I think that Tara gave him mixed signals while he was going through a lot. Then Sookie Monster led him on when it was convenient. But I think Sam is distracted with Tara - especially now that MaryAnne has her hand in the pot! Sam always loved Sook that is why before they kissed he said the best day of his life is basically when she walked thru the door of the bar. If he has the opportunity to be with Sook he would... if that is not the case why hide that he was calling Tara to see if she was alright. At the beginning of E12 he is calling Tara and asking her to call back and let him know if she is ok then Sook comes in and his voice is really low and he hangs up really quick. On the TARA AND SAM front I think that Tara is truly re-evaluating her choices and what she wants -- for the 1st time and she knows that Sam is totally hooked on Sookie. I know I would not settle on a guy who would always have another "first love" -- and I think that is why Tara said she deserves what she hopes for or dreams of (forgot the exact line right now). She wants a man who looks at her the way Sam looks at Sookie. EXACTLY! That is why when Eggs was there and was looking at her the way that Sam was glowing at Sook on the couch. It really affected her you could see it in her eyes. Especially when she says she is not staying long and he said that too bad. Tara was blown away! I did not take Sookie as leading him on again -- just the drugs talking honestly - not that she wanted him - just that she knew he was very --how shall I say it -- protective of who he told about his dog "thing" -- and probably feels like he's not as good as someone who doesn't have this "secret" and so she was telling him there is no reason someone couldn't love you -- which is true -- but she just blurted it out there on the drugs. I just didn't feel she had an agenda, I dunno if she had an agenda or not but honestly I thought wrong place, wrong time and def wrong phrasing. It felt uncomforatble in the room. Especially the no reason someone couldn't love you and the right back at cha. Jeez! No matter where her heart was plain simple fact is that they got their mack on, didn't tell and Tara knew. Again we all see things differently. That is what makes this place magical! I look at the scene with Tara and Sam and I don't see a flash of light. Others do. No one is wrong and no one is right. We all see things differently. Nothing but love!!! -- Happy dance! You should be happy to be rid of that...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9vY1reiwj8 Sookie is telling SAM to let Tara know he changes. Listen to her words. Sam isn't mad that Sookie is marrying the man she loves, it's the fact that he is vampire. Even worst, he is strangled with his relationship with Tara because of MaryAnne. Poor Sam, all he has to do is tell Tara the truth and half his troubles would be over.
