True Blood - About the Show

In the new HBO series True Blood (from Six Feet Under creator Alan Ball), a new synthetic blood makes it possible for Vampires to live among humans.

If vampires could live without feeding on people, would you be willing to try living with them?

True Blood Premieres Sunday, September 7.

I am in love with this series. My whole (adult) family never misses a night. But I gotta say i live in louisiana and i cant get over how the show abuses the geography of LA. And they use Shreveport and Monroe as cities that are close to bon temps but bon temps is coonass and north la is pure redneck lol! Oh and one more thing the next time yall have a party with crawfish no true louisiana native ever walks away from the table with one or two crawfish, you gotta have a beer flat full or your waitin your time. I love the show though it is truly great and the only series that i have ever watched from start to finish with out missing a episode. By the way just wanted to let the producers know that i heard about this show in a mpr radio spot. keep up the good work

Defintly. I find the whole concept intriging. Although, Im sure we all wish for the intence relationship that Bill and Sookie have, but I think it would be interesting. Theres plenty of worse people in the world to have to deal with that vempires.

They should develop other characters and they should downplay others. I think most of the actors are excellent and Ryan Kwanten, for being an Aussie, sure has nailed a good ole southern boy!!! I read all the books and while I l ike the stories, they get a little too complex with too many characters. I don't know why Tara's character was enlarged so much, she's so abrasive and unlikable. I think (hope) Alan Ball is going to continue to make it about Sookie and Bill and not get into the whole Eric thing, although a little distraction would be good. I don't want to spoil anything about the books but it would be impossible to go to all the places they do and keep this show plausible. Ball's writing is great and his humour is fabulous. I'm finally hooked on a t.v. show! Amazing.

Help

This may have been answered but please indulge me. What did Eric say to Pam, in Swedish, when he first encountered Sookie at Fangtasia and what did he say, in Swedish, when he was leaving Bill's house with Pam in the last episode?

"There are favors, and there are favors."

I don't think it's her saying that she won't work, AB has said that comment before. And Puhleeze, I think Sookie is onscreen enough for my taste anyway.

WHY hasn't Bill and Sookie said " I love you" yet? I just can't wait! It was so unbelievably sweet that he would actually go into the sun for her. I thought he may try to re-enter her house to save her, without an invite. I had no clue he would risk everything for her. sigh xxooxox

I'm looking forward to watching "Generation Kill" episodes now, because of Alexander Skarsgard's character. To think I let that series totally slide by because I had no interest in its military theme . . . when all the while "Eric" was hiding in them. That should be good enough to fill up a bit of time.

I just finished reading an article in the paper about TrueBlood, and in it Alan Ball says he has to develop all the other characters in the story so as not to overwork Anna Paquin. Well, excuse me, if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen, if she can't take working a few extra hours, what is she doing in the acting business? Just my opinion.

Nice review dated yesterday in the Chicago Tribune..found it on the Imdb site. Reviewer is now loving the show and said she had received many emails telling her to watch.
