I think your going to have to accept that there are going to be people who mention little things from the books. A lot of the fans of this show were fans of the books first and they're gonna say things about them. Yea it sucks if you haven't read the books, but for those of us who have we can't help comparing the show every once in a while to the respective parts in the books.

I think we need a separate section on the forum for the people who haven't read the books!!!!!
I was sad to see Gran go. But I guess with all the bookies out there we won't be seeing Bill come to the rescue to bring her back to life.
Be cool if he avenges her though. She really liked him.

I am too, grandmother figures in shows are homey and in this show Gran was like the wise owl. I never thought of the phone calls she got before the town meeting, and I bet you that'll be brought into play next show when she's found by sookie. To bad she didn't tell her more about her grandfather, sounds like Sookie's grandfather could do what she could.

I'm not glad to see her go really. I don't think she was in the way of Bill and Sookie at all, infact she seemed to encourage her the entire time as far as becoming close to Bill.
But of course her death is what will bring them "closer" especially in the next Episode 6

I cannot agree more with your post! It's scares me out of reading other posts for fear of them telling something from one of the "books". Like you, I may not ever read the books. I want to enjoy the show for what it is A SHOW. I don't want any comparisons. That's just my opinion.

Ok, so I just thought about this.. Gran and the DGD usually meet in the library. Bu she changed it to the Church instead .. was it because she thought it might be a huge turn out? Because she was very surprised that so many people came.
Or do you think she was afraid of the person who threatened her on the phone. Maybe she feared for her life so she booked the church knowing they wouldn't hurt her there.
