I think we need a thread where nobody brings up the books or introduces spoilers, so here it is. The discussion here is about the show as Alan Ball presents it. Speculation is encouraged - based on the show. Spoilers, from the books or anything outside what HBO has shown us, are not. There are plenty of other threads for that. If you're new to these threads - WELCOME! Jump in and tell us what you think. -- I heart New York -- Edited by Marionj2 at 07/22/2009 5:38 AM PDT

She is the one looking for Pussylover and Eric is searching on her behalf. She is using her blood as the Queen's blood is probably a potent blend to draw out the dealer/buyer. -- Edited by Mila3782 at 09/15/2009 7:18 AM PDT

Oh, that's interesting, BonTemps - that she's looking for a specific person. Would it be someone we know already? Probably not - that sounds like a new story arc. It probably wouldn't be Sookie's cousin Hadley then - the Queen would know.

Hey Agale! Loved that interview with AB! Thanks it really gave me some hope for next season - whew! I was so happy to read that each state has its own Vamp Royalty - things make much more sense knowing that!! In regards to why the Queen is selling her blood - I think she is obviously trying to find someone who uses "V" but the five million dollar question is who?

I do wonder though the reasoning behind Eric not being in the finale very much. Both Sookie and Lafayette has Eric's blood, surely he would have sensed something from that......

Hmmmm...a good reason why Eric wasn't in the last part of the episode, but it would be giving too much away. Could this mean it was Eric who kidnapped Bill? Or had Eric been kidnapped himself? Aha! He says Maryann is dead and will never rise. I'm going to miss Michelle Forbes, though. -- Edited by Marionj2 at 09/14/2009 6:41 PM PDT

Here's an AWESOME interview with Alan Ball about the finale and season 3 Read It Here All I can say is that I will miss Michelle Forbes because she isan awesome actress, but YEEEEEHAWWWW, Maryanne is destroyed for good After just rewatching the finale, did anyone else catch it when Eric told the queen that Bill didn't know she was supplying the blood? Does that mean it's her blood?????? (Sorry if this has been touched on already)

Well, Marion, I wondered about the Queen wanting to make connections with humans...but then again, maybe we just don't know enough about the vamp/human exchange to venture a likely guess. Tara WILL think Andy killed Eggs, since he seemed willing to cover up what Jason did. But I don't believe it'll end there....the issues of betrayal and such will probably be a big theme in season 3.

But hey, that's drama, huh? Tara thinks Andy shot him, doesn't he? > Could the queen be selling her blood for more wealth? > I suppose....she lives an awfully extravagant > lifestyle. Hmmm...maybe. I keep going round and round on this. Is she trying to create a bond with humans - unlikely, since it doesn't seem to do that if the blood isn't direct from the source. Is she trying to create an addicted group she has control over?

You know what else? I have to admit that I'm not looking forward to the talks coming up regarding Tara and Eggs' death. First Tara will get pissed at Jason...then Sook....oy. But hey, that's drama, huh? Could the queen be selling her blood for more wealth? I suppose....she lives an awfully extravagant lifestyle.

That is very true, I knew Eggs would go down but that was a surprise. So Jason will have his shares of issues twice being part of a death that he didn't really intend. When Eggs remembered Ms. Jeanette she was first walking and then they showed her lying down on the ground basically begging for her life and explaining that she didn't know what she was doing. Then we saw he removed her heart so she was talking so when did she get scratched? Maybe Maryanne mauled her after she was not the vessel? I also assume she did the drawings on the rock? Thnk so... -- Edited by Mila3782 at 09/14/2009 4:57 PM PDT

And I'm sure glad that they don't do any real detecting in Bon Temps. Like, you know, noting whether Andy has gunshot residue on his hands (he really should have fired a second time, even to miss). And somebody might notice that Andy, defending himself from an "attacking" Eggs, shot him in the BACK.

Damn! My cat just stepped on my keyboard and blew away what I'd typed! Trying again...the Stackhouse "gift." I can accept that Sookie can do things her brother can't. Genetics works that way - one sibling gets a talent, another doesn't. And I think the thoughtreading thing is tied to her ability to block vampire glamoring and Maryann's attempt to take over her mind. Jason doesn't have that talent, so he couldn't block Maryann.
