No book talk here!

I think we need a thread where nobody brings up the books or introduces spoilers, so here it is.

The discussion here is about the show as Alan Ball presents it. Speculation is encouraged - based on the show. Spoilers, from the books or anything outside what HBO has shown us, are not. There are plenty of other threads for that.

If you're new to these threads - WELCOME! Jump in and tell us what you think.

Yeah, I'm in agreement with what some of you already said.

The Jason thing....

He could have said, "Hey! Hold it right there!" Before shooting....but, OK, that's what they decided to do, I guess.
Not surprised about Jess. Just look at how Bill started out as a vamp! I guess she's too young to control her bloodlust yet. Eddie was controlled, but he was an adult, after all....seasoned before he was brought over. And besides, she may be using the draining as a substitute for sex -- which presents a little problem for her.

I liked Sam's stuff, it seemed like a natural progression for him. Coming out, then getting in touch with his origins.

Andy wanted to be a hero, so he took the CREDIT for killing the murderer, who he thought was trying to attack him.

I personally think Eggs was just panicked because he killed people and was trying to turn himself in.

Hi All!

Honestly, I was less then enthused last night! I was hoping for bigger and better things...Maybe I am just being a brat!

Anyway, as far as Tara and Jason - for all we know Jason did her an enormous favor! Eggs looked very aggresive with Andy...Granted he looked very confused but I personally dont think he would have ever recovered from killing people....

Furthermore, I was a bit upset with Sookie not immediately saying "Yes" to Bill (book lovers- dont hate me) I guess I can surmise where they are going with that storyline....

I was also upset with Jessica going "out on the prowl" I really thought she was going to give an apology - My bad!!! Poor Hoyt! I hope that doesnt destroy their relationship!

I was really hoping to see Andy/Jason "save the day" oops again...My bad!

At least the Queen seemed more interesting this time around!

Season 2 was just OK for me - I really hope they pull it all back together in Season 3...

Feel free to convey your thoughts....I am still keeping an open mind....

I'm scratching my head at the whole Jason-Andy buddy plotline. Granted, they are both pretty much simpletons. But with Jason shooting Eggs as a means of defending Andy, I don't really get why they are being set up as close buddies. And why would Andy bother to hide Jason as Eggs' killer? He could have, as a lawman, made a formal statement that Jason was aiding a downed law enforcement officer. Eggs was pretty much off his rocker, even if he was trying to "turn himself in" to Andy (albeit by throwing him to the ground and brandishing a bloody knife by his throat).

But for the last couple of episodes, you've got Jason and Andy forming this rather tight bond. Keep in mind it wasn't that long ago Andy was Jason's number one detractor. What will this union be used for in future episodes? I'd have expected something closer between Andy and Sam, to be honest....especially after Sam revealed his gift.

Just runnng through and waving ... I'll be back later.

I just thought of something that's been bugging me.

Sam can only change into something he's imprinted on, right? So where the heck was the bull?

Even if he can do it if he's done it before, are we supposed to believe that at some time in the past he had occasion to change into a big-ass bull??

Wow, so much to absorb from this finale.

I cried when Sam was stabbed :( On the flip side of that though. I absolutely LOVED how Sam turned into the bull(a big azz bull at that) and killed Maryanne. I thought the special effects were awesome :) Although I am also a little sad to see Michelle Forbes leave us. As for Bill ans Sam's plan, I liked that toss in. I honestly wasn't expecting that....

Let's see. Laughed my azz off at Jason, "Say hello to my liitle friend" and "asta lavista baby". Classic.

Lafayette was awesome even as a zombie, "The horned god, worship him biaches" and "with all the craziness going on I forgot how STUPID they is".

Poor Sam though. He really was tortured this season. My heart sooooo went out to him when he was looking at the deer, obviously remembering Daphne, and started crying :( I really liked the scenes between Sam and Bill. Also, I didn't see it coming that he went to his adoptive parents to find his biological parents. I thought that was way cool. Sam is just dynamic in all his scenes...

Tara. OMG, poor Tara. That poor girl just can't catch a break anywhere. My heart went out to her after Eggs died. Maybe things will get better for her next season. I wonder if she finds out Jason is the one who actually shot Eggs?

Jason really is a pretty dumb guy LOL. I wonder how he will be now having killed a man. Spwaking of Jason. Maryanne said she can't take over Sookie because Sookie is something more than human. Well, how could MA take over Jason then???? That one has me stumped.

Jessica, Jessica, Jessica. What the hell??? Seems like she is becoming quite the little monster. I sure hope her and Hoyt work things out. It shocked the hell out of me when Hoyt told MAxine he wished Jessica would have finished her off....

Loved the whole Bill and Sookie scenes at the end. The dancing was nice and the romantic in me was loving it. Hubby was watching with me, as usual . When Sookie wasn't saying yes, hubby commented that Bill should have put the ring on the straw of a banana shake for her to find and she'd say yes. That's how he proposed to me.

That's all I cn think right now. toooooooo much info LOL.....
Can't wait till next season :)

Oh hell yeah, Marion, it was a gamble!
Sam was stabbed, but Maryann lingered on tasting the blood on the knife so much that the heart extraction was held off.

I wasn't sure what was gonna happen....I mean, I knew Sam would turn into SOMETHING, but I knew he couldn't eat Maryann 'cause she's toxic. So, OK, he stabbed her with a horn.

Question: Sook is "special." What about Jason? He's her bro, but Maryann turned him. What? He got all the boring genes in the family and Sook got all the special recessive genes?

Ah, Sam.

I wish he would just tell everyone!

Loved that line about his jeans! Was that CH who said it?

I think it was a huge gamble to take with Sam's life. We had every reason to think she would rip out his heart - Bill's blood couldn't have saved him.

Hehehe - I was right about his turning into a bull and becoming the god. Sort of! :^O

(Enter room, pulling up a barstool beside ya, pouring myself a drink).

Yep, Lorena is the behind Bill's abduction....of that I have no doubt.

Yeah, Jason's secret will be a big deal next season.
Poor Sam.....I wonder where his journey will lead him.

Slipping in the door and looking behind me cautiously...

Pulling up a bar stool...

So? What'd ya think?

SO glad Maryann didn't turn out to be a harpy. It would have been just too much.

Loved the little joke about Sookie trying on an engagement ring. Do you think it was her own?

Jason killed EGGS??!! Will Tara ever find out?

Who kidnapped Bill? I'm betting on Lorena.

Wow. I can't believe I'm the first one here tonight.

I didn't see the Eggs/Jason/Andy tragedy coming. Or the marriage proposal.
Ah! And those sneaky writers, the egg was nothing more than a red herring!
