I'm so excited for this show!
The Viral Marketing intrigued me... The Comic Con pannel pulled me in... and Charlaine Harris' first book in the series, "Dead Until Dark" has made me a bonified fan!
I'm trying to amass all the viral marketing items available at Comic Con. Does anyone know all the items that were available at Con? Better, yet- do you know where/how I can get ahold of the items?

I have an extra AVL pin I'd be willing to swap for a Fellowship pin, or some other item I need. Let me know if you're interested (that goes for anyone else also)...

I love the Recorded Books of the series (although I have all the paperbacks) because the narrator of the series is so good. I have noticed that Recorded Books is reissuing some of the earlier ones recorded on tape only into CD format, so maybe they will pick up any that were not done before.

Would it be possible for you to ask Ms Harris a question for me? As a "lead up" to the show, I have been getting "Recorded Book" copies of all the Sookie books to refresh my memory. Why is it that NO ONE seems to have a taped book or "Dead to the World," the "Eric" book? It is by far my fave of the series and I was VERY disappointed.

Heck, I work for Charlaine and I had to buy stuff on Ebay.
DVDs of the first episode are available free at BestBuy if you buy an HBO boxed DVD set.
I still need to find and AVL pin and the emergency kit, then I am all set.

I work at a cable co. also- and I didn't get any freebees!  Did your company have several of the promo items, or did you win them, or something? What department do you work in? I'm just a peon in Tech Support...

I was on Sunset Blvd. in LA a few weeks back and besides seeing tons of ads for the show I also saw "TrueBlood" advertisements on a few liquor store windows it was quite interesting. I kind of wanted to go in and ask for some to see what they would tell me!

I work at a cable company and I got this really neat "Emergency Kit" as a promotional item.
It says "Break Open If Bitten" on the outside.
Inside it has a few band-aids, a couple Q-tips, 2 breath mints, suncreen, hand sanitizer gel, a moist towlette and 2 temporary tattoos of bite marks.
>_< It's really funny.
I also got a promo copy of the first episode.
These particular things are sometimes the only good thing about working for a cable company. :p

I got ahold of the two shirts offered in the panel gift-bags, but there are at least three more (the FangBangers, AVL and Fellowship shirts) that I did't get. That's a total of five different shirts that I'm aware of...
I didn't get any of the postcards or posters. And I only got the AVL pin (still need the Fellowship pin).
I can't believe how obsessed I've become about this show!!! And I haven't even seen an episode!!! Man, it better be good!!!
Sept. 7 can't come soon enough! I wonder if there will be some type of L.A. premire that fans can attend?

There were a few different posters and I know that there were at least two different shirts. I wasn't paying enough attention at the Con and missed out on all of it but two posters, so I'm not sure if there was more stuff or not.
Good luck finding it, I saw one of the shirts on Ebay for under ten bucks, so I would check there.
