I thought Sam said could change into an animal as long as he had it's imprint, this was the discussion he had with Andy and Jason. I am thinking as long as he has seen it, he can change into it. Ok, I need to replay a few episodes.

Didn't love it but didn't hate it either. I agree the MA thing dragged on way to long and could have been taken care of a couple episodes ago but too late now. I felt bad for Eggs but it was time to say goodbye to his character as well just wish it was handled differently. All in all not a horrible season but nothing in comparison to how great season 1 was. Anxiously awaiting season 3!

Finale was definitely a let down compared to the Dallas episodes.

Kinda thought Pam would at least get payback for her ruined shoes.

I could totally see her taking the shoes off MA's crispy carcass saying, "you owe me", then tossing them to the ground in disgust, "imitation leather".

I kinda remember Sam telling Sook in season 1 that it was better if he had a picture, but it wasn't necessary. However, he could not turn into a human because they are too complex. I will have to re-watch that episode.

Technically he did say he had to be near it. Hence the nakedness... He also told Sookie thats how he came to shift to the dog because it was always outside the bar remember Sookie used to feed the doog and rub him. When he first shifted he told Sookie there was a REAL dog and there was him. He also just told Andy and Jason he had to be near the animal to shift.

He would have been able to escape JAIL waaaaay before the FLY incident but he had to see it to shift to it...

Thank God MaryAnne is out of the picture. the maenad storyline had been extended too much. I understand that the series is a companion to the books and that the series is based in the sookieverse;however, BILL HAS NEVER PROPOSED TO SOOKIE!!!!!!!! In fact she keeps saying in the first 3 books, "not that he's ever asked me". The books are the blueprint to the series and Bill is a major character but how is AB going to fit all of sookie's love interest if Bill is this self-sacrifising good guy. I can only hope that all this mushyness is for the sake of building up to the moment in season 3 book 3 where sookie feels betrayed , and eventually to Eric revealing Bill's True motives. Sookie needs to feel somewhat unattached to Bill for the whole Alcide thing to work out and the Eric plotline. Based on the books Lorena would have kidnapped bill, however bill left willingly in the books and then was help captive. I Wonder if its just a set up? Or in AB's version maybe the queen is trying to silence Bill about the V. In conclusion, I better see more Eric sookie action and the longer BIll is the GOOD GUY the harder it will be set up the sookie/eric plotline. I'm curious what will happen with Tara? She's probably going to go a little crazy from her broken heart. I think jessica might be more intersting if she played a little more of villian.
P.S. In the books during the werewar Sam shifts into a lion when there were clearly no pictures of lions around. It is easier to shift when you have a picture or a live animal but not impossible to shift without it.

The finale was going great guns the first half hour and then it just got painfully slow as though they needed filler. I've read all of the books and as we watch my hubby is constantly asking - was that in the book? I have to say no quite a lot which doesn't bother me as much as it used to.

I really think they could have done a better job on the finale. Maybe they just wanted to show the real ring that he gave her when they got engaged? I don't know.

I was left at the end with a feeling of disappointment and bad editing.

I take issue with this. Sookie IS NOT a slut who jumps from guy to guy! There have been 10 books and Sookie has had sex with 3 guys. (4 if you count the short story The Gift.) 3 guys in her whole life! She is like 26 years old and has only been with 3 guys! That is not a slut!

Ok tell me if anybody thinks this thought is laim, but if Sookie is not human maybe she will not become old, so maybe she and Bill could live forever.
I however, thought her running to the bathroom was so insane, how shallow it looked to me, she had to look at the ring and decide that yes she loves Bill?
Speaking of Bill, who claims that he is a southern gentlemen, that he would not get on his knees and propose to her? I know that if my mate just handed me a box in 2009 I would take issue.
Please let season 3 be better. cause that ending was just cheesy

For the people complaining about the books vs. the show...think about it for a second. AB really hasn't changed anything overly much. Bill is more likable in the show than he is in the books, but even in the books, I was all for Bill. Sookie is just kind of a slut who jumps from guy to guy. Bill might have gone to spy on Sookie intially but even in the books, he ended up falling in love with her. Sookie doesn't give him a chance.

She just doesn't think things through. If Lorena called to Bill, he HAD to go. She even mentions it about Pam and Eric. Sookie is extremely self-centered in the books.

Also, keep in mind that the books are all first person from Sookie's POV, so we don't get to see a lot of the characters as fleshed out as they can do with the show.
