Aleph, no one is saying there is anything in the books that says Bill is a saint as a matter of fact we are saying the opposite. Alan Ball grants Bill sainthood and on this thread we are quoting the book to prove AB's perception is wrong. It just so happens that sometimes AB slips up and also makes him a shit in the show. After book three Bill in almost a footnote in books 4-9 so I fail to understand how you still see him as central in Sookies life. If the book print truth on this thread upsets you, why read it? Avoid this thread and maintain your view, even if the written page is the opposite of your view. Whatever you do don't go to the "Eric is not a villain " thread and read all the wonderful thing that the books contain about Eric. If you want to maintain you Bill fantasy don't read past book 3 and avoid the next book because Sookie is still "vampire married to Eric" and settling into her "marraige" to Eric. Bill is near death and looking for a relative to cure him.

I'm out of my territory on this topic to even read it because I have not read anything in the book that claims Bill is a saint. It's just my opinion that Bill is always the foremost character in Sookies life, in the books, even when she's with someone else. That's my opinion. Anyone that writes that 'Bill IS...' anything is entitled to state that as an opinon but it's not a fact. It's not a lot of fun to read stuff like this, 'billdo'. So long, all of you really nice people. Eric is a charming fellow, I don't find anything obscene to write about him.
