Sookie?s painful childhood revelation about her Uncle Bartlett spurs Bill into action. Despite her skepticism, Tara agrees to pay for an exorcism to purge Lettie Mae of a demon. In search of V juice, Jason travels to Fangtasia, where he bonds with an adventurous young woman named Amy (Lizzy Kaplan). A trio of rednecks decide to exact vigilante justice on a pack of vampires who crashed Merlotte?s in search of their wayward mate Bill.

Blondelove1,
I've got a kid in his late 30's, step kid, who still cannot watch 'Jaws'!! I love Jaws! Young Richard Dreyfus, RIP Rob, but, that Mr. Irwin, he's just some actor!! (you know the shark man they go out with) He was great in The Sting too.

Amy's too "NEW to the mix" let's give her a week or

I thought that was pretty awful what Arlene did too. Seems like she is out to hurt Sookie and that is not what a real friend would do.

Jenny my youngest son (32 years old mind you) to this day will not watch Poltergist, he saw a little bit of it when he was small and it scared the crap out of him. Then we move on to his late teen years and along comes all those Alien Autopsy shows, X=Files etc. and once again he is freaked. Now he's a grown man and one of his favorite actors is Jason Lee, from My name is Earl, who happened to be one of his favorite Skateboarders when he was into Skateboarding. He hears he is playing in a movie called Dreamcatcher so is eager to watch until he finds out it is a horror show so leaves the show in the first twenty minutes. Then Signs comes out with Mel Gibson and I call and tell him not to watch it because it has aliens in it.

It's funny how things that affect us in our early years can also shape how we view things in our later years. Poltergist terrified him so much that any horror show still gives him chills to this day.

I am no different because I have a real fear of Spiders, so much so that my parents even took me to a shrink when I was small to try to get me over my fear. Didn't work by the way. My sons and ex husband always knew what they called my spider scream and would come running. Both sons watch any new movies that come out on DVD before I do so they can tell me if there are spiders in it. Harry Potter both of them called to tell me when I see this scene to close my eyes and don't look again until I hear this said etc. The fear is so real that I am a avid fisherperson, loving to fish all summer long. My favorite line to use is Spider wire but my sons have to pick the line up for me and remove it from the box before they give it to me because there is a huge silver spider on the box.

Ahhhhh......fear is such a wonderful thing, really makes the whole heart pump faster.....no wonder we are such a yummy treat for a Vampire!!!!

So if the books aren't really that great, then I for one am glad that Allan Ball isn't sticking to the books exactly as they were written. It's clear that the majority of us want Bill and Sookie to stay together. Ok, so maybe they might have a few bridges to cross along the way but not long ones, more like a few bumps in the road would be better.

HBO has a real winner here and they don't want to do anything that would frustrate the fan base, they would end up losing loyal watchers of the show. It's that tension at the end of each show that makes you want more, you count the days until Sunday night gets here again, you watch each episode over and over during the week because you just can't get enough of it. You notify all your family members that between 9pm and 10 pm on Sunday nights you don't want company, don't want to be disturbed, and no phone calls unless someone has died!!! At least that's what I told my family members!!

AMEN! I feel the same exactly. About the books and the show we are seeing, though I look forward to reading the books.
But I still don't trust HBO to cater to it's viewers needs, no matter their numbers. Not in my experience. They can and have cancelled shows with a viewership of 3.5 million viewers.

Hey Blondove1, that, was a great post. I loved it.
I too understand that Bill won't always be with Sookie during the run, however long it lasts, of the series, and don't want to see them with others...
Not just that part, just, nice post, thanks.

To be fair I also have to say that some movie remakes are better then the original, as well as some are not....

The original "Thing" with James Arness(a.k.a. Gunsmoke) playing the Thing all wrapped up to look more like a mummy might have been scary in it's day, but then along comes modern technology with great visual effects and John Carpenter's version of the movie and it scared the pants off of ya!!!

On the other hand (and boy does this age me here folks) you take a great old classic movie like,The War of the Worlds, toss in Tom Cruise and all those visual effects and the remake was nothing compared to the original. Maybe it might have for the younger audience members who loved the movie not having known of the events that went along with the original could be part of the reason why they loved it. But you have to remember that back then we didn't have TV's yet, our parents listened to the weekly radio shows for their entertainment back then.

All the family gathered around the radio waiting to listen to their favorite shows, Amos & Andy, who knows what lurks in the hearts of man? Only the Shadow Knows. The old radio broadcasts such as those, when on comes Orson Wells, with his deep voice telling the world that Martians have landed!! Look to the skies, watch the skies!!! People were terrified, there was real panic in cities across the world, families running outside looking up at the skies, parents grabbing their children and hiding in their basements! It was real fear they experienced because of that broadcast. No one knew that it was only a radio show, scripted, until the calls started coming in to the radio station and area law enforcements. Can you imagine how everyone felt when they finally found out it was only a story made for the broadcast?

Then when they made the movie, people were terrified of it, to many remembered the original broadcast and the fear it made them feel. No remake could ever do the original justice on that one.

You notify all your family members that between 9pm and 10 pm on Sunday nights you don't want company, don't want to be disturbed, and no phone calls unless someone has died!!! At least that's what I told my family members!!

I've had three shows in my life that I was totally hooked on, couldn't bare to miss, would set the recorder if I just couldn't be home to watch them. And each one of them ended up getting canceled when one of the main characters left the show because of their big heads, or getting very greedy thinking they could force the owners of the shows to give them more money.

Beauty and the Beast, the only show that would make me cry each and every time. When Linda Hamilton left part of the show left as well. X-Files, once David Duchoveny made less and less appearances in the show the fans started leaving it as well. At least we all know now it wasn't because he wanted more money, but because he was still trying to curb his sex addiction, ah the one addiction I think we all should have!! And last but not least the old Night Stalker shows!! Just up and canceled it much to the dismay of the fans, myself included!!

So I hope HBO keeps those hot and sexy scenes of Bill and Sookie coming hot and heavy!!!

Just one look from Bill, one gentle touch of his finger touching her cheek, the hunger and desire there just makes Joan Jett come to mind....................

Do you want to touch, do you want to touch, do you want to touch me there!!!!!!!!!!! OH GOD YES!!!!!!!

It may well be my favorite King book. Hearts too. But I am so glad to hear someone say what I've thought for so many years, that book could never be made into a film that does it justice. I really love the King stories where the kids grow up together and then lose each other and then find each other just when they need each other. Really good post, I liked it a lot.

Hi I'm just out of the lurking closet - so HI :)

I have been enjoying reading and now here I am -- way too addicted and fueling it (the addiction :O ).

I have NOT read the books and when I saw that Amy would be around for a - short -- while and then read that "she may have be taken down " I thought you know they do need new "kills" for the murderer - at this rate the town will look gay with only some men left (unless the killer is a woman, then just a few men and one woman left) ;)
