Favorite vampire movies

I went digging for this thread to post about a new movie I've just discovered, but HBO had archived the thread, so here's a new one.

The movie is "Let the Right One In," a Swedish vampire movie - and an excellent one.

If you rent it, be sure to get the one with the "theatrical" subtitles - one set of English subtitles is much better and more subtle than the other.

It's a beautiful and touching movie, with some scary and gruesome "vampire" moments.

thanks for saying that you like lost boys as well i know it is a bit of a cult classic by now so i just didn't know how many of else out there like the film. i didn't mean cheesy as in bad because it is not. you are right about van helsing being the hybrid vampire werewolf situation. i couldn't get into it so i guess i just forgot about it. i might have to give it another chaance. i don't know maybe i will see about it.
