Favorite vampire movies

I went digging for this thread to post about a new movie I've just discovered, but HBO had archived the thread, so here's a new one.

The movie is "Let the Right One In," a Swedish vampire movie - and an excellent one.

If you rent it, be sure to get the one with the "theatrical" subtitles - one set of English subtitles is much better and more subtle than the other.

It's a beautiful and touching movie, with some scary and gruesome "vampire" moments.

i wasn't impressed by the blade films either. i liked the first two underworld movies. it was very interesting the romance between the female vampire and her boyfriend that is half vampire/half lycan. first time i had ever heard of the hybrid concept with that but the chemistry is definitely there between them. i really don't have an absolute favorite vampire film. i like series shows like moonlight and of course trueblood but many vampire movies i have been disappointed in them. i know this sounds cheesy but i always enjoyed lost boys. i know yes it is very campy but it has always been a guilty pleasure of mine. just can't help it. i may be a little bias because i like keifer sutherland so much! he has a great voice especially!

I thought VanHelsing was decent. I saw the first Blade movie but I wasn't particularly impressed.

No doubt, but since I looked through 4 pages of threads and didn't find a thread about vampire movies, and when I searched for "vampire movies," I found the thread I remembered had been archived, I started a new one.

Expecting people to seach 36 pages of threads to find the one you think they should use is a bit much...
