When I first watched a few episodes of TB, I thought to myself that the producers and directors must be all chicks. (I am a chick myself, so I know what chicks go for). Then I found out that is is based on a book written by a chick (what a surprise!). I don't know how closely the series follow the book, but I would hope that it is loosely followed and that the book is much better (that's the usual case with series adapted from books). Let's face it, the series are aimed at a woman's mind and are meant to capture a woman's fantasy of an impossible 'intense' love story. And I cannot see how a grown mature woman that has life experience and knows her potential as a human sentient being can go for this stuff. Therefore, I can conclude that it is targeting immature teenage girls and underdeveloped adult women. The plot is pathetic, as is all the sex scenes and blood (some chicks are into that, more now than ever, with all the vampire shows and movies to make sucking blood "cool") All this culture of death, creepiness, and disgusting perverted vile behavior is the 'in' thing nowadays, and I can't understand how people don't see that it is being pushed on them through all the entertainment that they mindlessly gobble up. For the still able to think for themselves, google terms such as "predictive programming", and "culture creation". You'll be surprised at how much your opinions and desires are shaped by what you are being shown on TV. The best thing you could ever do for your family and yourself is throw your TV out, and spend quality time with your family and friends outside in the nature. HBO, it is so rarely that you do have shows that are truly eye-opening, and aren't meant as evil propaganda entertainment, and a mind-f**k. I understand that you're all about the money and who pays it wins, but is there anything human left in you? Don't you feel responsible, even slightly, for the crap you put on and the culture you help shape? -- Edited by TrueCrap at 10/31/2009 11:56 AM PDT

I've gone back and listened to the songs while at work. My co-workers are wondering WTF. I was up another hour after you went to bed trying to finish underwriting the loan I started 2 hours before I got distracted.. hope I didn't miss anything.

Hmmm...I'm not sure..The alerts show any online stuff that is posted that contains my search parameters- In this case the words "true blood" were in the thread and post..But interesting idea you have.... The boards are not new to controversy. Heck it is amazing if there isn't something going on that stirs up stuff..LOL..that's what happens when the season is over and everyone is venting.. Oh and buell..You have me ROFLMAO with your post... -- Edited by beadrbop at 11/04/2009 10:45 AM PST
