Because the Queen knew about Bill's bond with Sookie without him saying so we are left with one possible possibility, that he has been reporting to the Queen from the very beginning, and perhaps formed the blood bond on her orders. I have even been recently toying with the idea that Bill set up the whole beating up of Sookie, maybe not set up but allowed it to happen maybe stood in the woods and waited until Sookie was gravely hurt and only then did he stop them. In order to get Sookie in such a bad state that she would be forced to drink his blood, to follow the Queen's order to form a blood bond with Sookie. Maybe it's like Eric said when he confronted bill about giving Sookie his blood so soon after they met, where bill says "I was saving her life" and Eric says "Isn't that convenient". Just some way out there thought or could there be something to it? I don't know but AB had some point in revealing that Eric knew this. Sorry for all the new threads but Im stuck without a car for a few days and I just wanted to put yet another thought out there. All thoughts welcome.

I have read 4 of the books so far but out of order cause that's how I've been getting them from the library. I haven't read Books one or two yet. I don't mind the pink spandex if it was a joke. Thanks for clearing that up -- Edited by camporese29 at 09/06/2009 12:25 PM PDT

I guess you haven't seen the fanart of him in pink spandex. Oh, it was manly.... And yes, it was in one of the books.

mims, as far as something being nefarious at work when it comes to Sookie's attraction to Bill are you talking about Bill glamouring her or something different? Because as I'm sure you know Sookie can't be glamoured. Sookie was entranced by Bill because he is sorta hot and then because she couldn't hear his thoughts so I think that is all there was to it.

I just re-watched the first episode for the first time in a long time. The blood exchange happened the second time they met - unless. .. The dream that Sookie had about Bill the first night they met wasn't a dream at all and there's more to it than Sookie remembers.... Sookie sure was enamored by Bill that second night. Entranced almost. It could be because she couldn't read his mind, or something much more nefarious could be at play. I say if they can reach back into season one and pull out that Tara's "exorcism" summonsed Maryanne, then just about anything is possible. By the way, without Eric around and all disheveled and vamped out, Bill really is attractive. Poor guy, what did the writers/costume designers do to him? He's HOT!

Erictakeme, I'm jealous I wish I could have my very own Eric dream. And don't worry I think will get to see Eric in Season 4 doing exactly what he was doing in your dream

It is so easy to second guess yourself. It runs together sometimes. So I am always going back to watch S1 and S2. You know what else is hard sometimes, to keep the book storyline seperate from Tv TB. Sometime I mush them together. I had a dream of the Eric running naked down the street amnesia scene from the book. It was so real that I swear it happened in TB. How sad is that

Perhaps he was just surprised that bill wasn't denying it, I really kind of think that he has known a long time but that is just me.

Erictakeme, You know until you walked me through it well you and some other posters I was almost convinced by Mar's reasoning that it did happen the same night. I didn't' really ever rewatch Season 1 very much. There was hardly any Eric then so I didn't have much incentive, but it is all coming back to me now. Thanks for clearing that up!

Plus.... It totally stumps me why Bill didn't go kill the Rat's sooner for the sole reason that they tried to drain and kill him. You would think this would be his first priority. but his first priority was to go see Sook at Merlottes the next night?!? Fishy!

I agree. When Eric says this to Bill and Bill says how do you know this, Eric looks surprised and he says so you are confirming this (not exact quote but something like this). It seems like Eric spoke on a huntch he had and it paid off when Bill confirms.

The beating did not happen on the same night of the draining. Sookie walked away after saving Bill. She went home and told Gran that she had met a vampire. Sook went to sleep woke up and layed in the sun and then jason pulls up on her and asked her about beating up the rat's. ....blah blah blah and then went to work. Bill comes in and she slow mo walks to Bill and Sook's tells Bill she has a favor to ask (Gran's request for him to speak at the meeting). he agrees to meet her at 1:30. Then the beating occurs.
