Marteneemm Ireadthebooks: Found a new book that looks interesting James Patterson's "Witch & Wizard" There's a link: www.WITCHANDWIZARD.COM ******************************************* TY for the tip. I'll check it out. If it turns out to be young adult, so much the better. I think I'm in my second childhood 'cause I loved the "Twilight" books. I am being forced to read "Shanghai Girls" by Lisa See for a book group and can barely keep awake. Thanks again. bluedog

Mafiosa posted: IT'S A KID'S BOOK. I confess to reading almost all of the Harry Potter books! Sometimes you have to feed your inner child. And sometimes it is claptrap. I would say the Dan Brown mysteries border on bombastic tripe, where as the Harry Potter books actually have some creative merit.

> Alephbet: > Post your complaint to Charlaine about how long it > is > between books~ She's the one who writes them! I wonder how long it really takes her to write them. I mean if you take out all of the extra, repetitive info (she's a telepath, who she does and does not get along with, you know, the stuff that gets repeated each book) and the other little details (who is eating/ drinking what) then there's not a whole lot to each book. For some reason, I think that all the editing is what takes so long. I could be totally wrong though. I really don't know anything about the process of writing a book. But I'm sure after she writes it, there's quite a few ppl that have to proof read it. And then changes are made...and then those have to be proofread and it just seems to me like it'd be a long process.

Read them all more than once, the first three more than twice, possibly more than three or four times. 1,2,3 are my 'faves'. I didn't see the TV series until well into season 2, and quickly got confused. Still confused, but I'm definitely less interested when there are so many twists and turns that don't get resolved at the end of the book. And there's such a long time between 'books.
