ERIC NORTHMAN is a character created by Charlaine Harris, author of the NY Times Best Selling Novel, The Sookie Stackhouse Series. The 1st book "Dead Until Dark" which the show True Blood (Season 1) was based from was published on 2001. There are currently 8 books published and Eric's character is loved by many. So even before the show True Blood was aired, ERIC NORTHMAN has a solid fanbase. And these people are the ones voting for him. As for the actor Alexander Skarsgard, he's a very talented Swedish actor who also starred as Brad Colbert of the HBO series "Generation Kill". And this voting poll has been published in Swedish Magazines in hopes to support Alexander. Soooo pleeeease, do not question why he's leading right now and just vote for your favorite. Be a good sport!
