I was just wondering... Since the show doesn't really follow the books, is the murderer gonna be the same? But most importantly, if the show lasts long enough, are they gonna let Eric and Sookie get as steamy on TV as they did in the books? I would SO enjoy that! Just wished they would have followed the books a little bit better. Your thoughts?

It's a series of books by Charlaine Harris. There are 8 books with #9 due this May. I don't believe they've announced a date for the series to resume, except summer of 2009 -- You got to respect the pajamas ~ Brad Colbert Mitt älskare

I so fell in love with Eric in book #4 when his true personality emerged and he showed us how sexy, funny, and yes caring he can be. It would be great if AB would show us Eric in that light as well. -- **************************** I can smell the sunlight on your skin

I think bookerv is right there might be a cliffhanger... they've already started the transformation into the second book which is why they showed the maenad for some overlap. remember sookie and bill's relationship in the second book and the fact that they are getting closer to the end of the series makes the next episode and how sookie acts toward him kind of make more sense i think. but we never can tell since they have changed alot of things maybe Alan wants to throw the readers for a loop since we are already kind of anticipating/expecting certain things. Either way I will continue to watch. the translation from book to tv makes for interesting watching for me. -- ____________________________ Book 3, Club Dead "You are speaking to my future lover. They've changed alot translating from book to TV but Eric's character had build in the books also. In the beginning reading the books I could take eric or leave him, but as I read on I couldn't get enough of Eric. I think this will happen on screen also. -- ____________________________ Book 3, Club Dead "You are speaking to my future lover. Be more respectful." eric northman. I find the whole book Erik and Pam dynamic hysterical. Yeah I know Vamp, remember when Ginger was screaming her head off while Long Shadow was choking Sookie. Pam sees that Eric is getting irritated and she says... "Ginger that's enough" and Eric says "thank you" like nothing else is going on except that Ginger is getting on his nerves.... classic. As Bill points out... it's all about living up his backside for Pam. -- "Oh my God ... he's so powerful, so beautiful...the closer I get the more beautiful he gets ... ~ Bald Guy in Episode 4

I find the whole book Erik and Pam dynamic hysterical. I hope the show develops this more as well. The show gave us a taste of it in episode 9, I how we get to see more.

I love the book Eric much better 2. I really hope they go more towards that version of him in season two. He's so funny in the books. I agree wholeheartedly.... AB would be making a mistake if he doesn't use at least some of CH's characterization of Eric. His dry wit, his sexy confidence, his beautiful hair (how about a hair and makeup person who knows what she/he is doing!). -- "Oh my God ... he's so powerful, so beautiful...the closer I get the more beautiful he gets ... ~ Bald Guy in Episode 4

I hope that the show is slowly building up Eric's character. I love Eric's character - he is a vampire who makes no apologies for it. Eric loves being what he is and could be so enjoyable to watch. The dynamic between Eric and Pam is priceless. I've seen on some of the spoilers that Eric will have a much bigger presense in Season 2. Let's hope that we get the orgy scene too.

As much as I loved Eric from the books, I really don't care to see him and Sookie get together on the show. I like Bill/Sookie on the TV show. BUT, I HATE how the TV show is making Eric into an evil jerk. They don't have to do that in order to build on the Sookie/Bill relationship! I just want TV Eric to be more like Book Eric! *cries* Yeah, me too. In the first book, though, Eric was not the most benign presence. Maybe that will change in the show as it did in the books. Sigh. Eric is so full of life (pardon the pun) and humor in the books.

I don't think Bubba would translate to TV well, and I'm glad that it appears they won't be introducing his character.

Plus, there is a WONDERFUL humorous vampire character named "Bubba" who would add so much to TB. I kind of agree, because I came to love Bubba in the books. But... do you really think they could pull off the Bubba thing on TV without appearing way too hokey? To be honest, when Bubba first appeared in the books, I found myself saying "yeah, right" out loud. After a while I just found the Bubba thing funny, but I still think it would be hard to present on tv with any credibility. -- "Sitter här i din säng, lukta på din doft, ... Sookie ...
