Fulvia: Thanks, I'll try. If it doesn't work, you just go to fanfiction.net and search author dogfriend. It' s just how I wish Season 3 would go with my favorite parts of Club Dead. I can't believe people are actually reading it and sending nice reviews. It's so much fun I'm surprised the government hasn't found a way to tax it yet.

Wow, that's a long time to be having to deal with all of this. Hopefully all of that is behind you now!! And I'll hope for no more surgeries in your future! I can't imagine.

I'll agree. But I guess in AB's mind, since they're all inbred, they must be redneck, white trash. Gotta live in run down trailers. Cuz don't ya know- All inbreeds live in run down trailers.

In order to be a true shifter, you have to have two parents that are also shifters, right? Hm. Although I guess AB could always change that also. My first thought when I read about the "were-bitch" was that someone had a flashback that involved this person. But ...who knows.

June does seem soooooo far away. *sigh* As for snow, we had a few flurries today also but we already have about 8 inches of snow on the ground.

I agree! It's much easier to try to read everyone's fanfic if we have links.

Again..she's aliiivvve! She returns from yet another hospital adventure, this time mercifully shorter than all the others.

Yes, they re-closed my incision this morn at 6am and actually let me come home this afternoon. Thank G-d.
After a nap from very strong general anesthesia, I feel sort-of-not-too-terrible. There may be hope yet for my actual recovery from this ordeal.

Sugr: Thanks for the thoughts. My original abdominal surgery was Oct. 19, in hosp 4 days, back in hosp Oct 31 for 4 more days for infection and incision has been gaping open ever since. They had to wait til the infection cleared to reclose incision. I hope there are no further complications. Geez what a pain this has been literally and figuratively.

Sugr, fulvia, lat, dogfriend, Mar and foxie: Thank you all for always sending me good wishes and thoughts. I truly appreciate it. I look forward to the time when your wishes for my health are not as necessary! That will be a great day.

foxie: you disappear and then suddenly reappear out of the...blue. It's always good to "see" you. I would have preferred the non-fic version of the "Widow" story also, but I'll take what I can get in CW fiction.

re rc's comments on TB seas 3 casting:

I was surprised in the description of Calvin Norris living in a "rundown trailer". In the books Calvin's house is described, I believe, as small but very well kept, reflecting Calvin himself who is well groomed. I wonder if AB is planning on changing the character's persona?
It certainly sounds as if AB is setting up the "Hotshot" community and therefore must be planning on having Jason get into that situation. I also read in an article somewhere that Sam gets involved in Hotshot somehow. I don't remember that being in the books, but it's been awhile since the last time I've re-read them.

I wonder who the WWII soldier is supposed to be that is obviously attacked by the "were-bitch"? Perhaps Sam's grandfather? Maybe this is the way it will be explained to Sam how his family passed on
the shifter gene.

It certainly seems like a really long time till next June, doesn't it? I know time does fly the older we get but it still sounds far away. Today we had our first snow flurries of the season. A somewhat late start for Michigan.

NOTE to fanfic writers:
Please put up links to whatever fanfic you all may write because I always have difficulty getting into that site without a link and I need to read whatever my folks write, ok? Thanks.

Latbfan:
I'm only going to send Christmas cards to special/family this year due to the economy.
Maybe next year I'll send out my usual list.
While I'm away I'm going to attempt to write some:
I'm planning to write something about Lorena.

Hello everyone! *waves*

It's been madness around here, and I just haven't been able to get online. But my company has gone home and the tree is decorated. Now to dig into the pile of Christmas cards... *sigh*

dogfriend, tonight, after I put the boys in bed, I'll look at your story! I'm so proud of you. That's awesome! Keep writing! (I should take my own advice and write, I might add.) Good for you for taking the plunge.

blue, you're in my thoughts. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Blue: Glad you're back on board the train I hope you have a smoother recovery now. I just adored Thirteen Moons by Frazier, it's a little slow in places but worth it. Have you read "I Know This Much Is True" by Wally Lamb? I read those two books around the same time and enthusiastically recommend it. It's about identical twins and one of the men is a schizophrenic. the relationships are so real and absolutely gripping. I'm currently reading "Jesus Christ, The Lord" by Anne Rice- I'm halfway through and it's a novel with a 7 year old Jesus, narrating his families journey out of Egypt to Nazareth. It's quite moving and affirmative. A departure for Ms. Rice I would say. TTFN

We watched it as well. I thought it was very touching when Stevie Wonder either got chocked up because he was singing a Michael Jackson song or forgot the words. That man has been meeting his personal challenges and performing for almost 50 years since he was eleven and he can still sing.

Good morning peeps:

It has been a while since I have been able to get to the boards since I had I-phone issues on vacation and we bought no computer. Best wishes to eripmav regarding the death of her mother-in-law and best wishes to Blue for yet another trip to the hospital.

Since there has been no TB news other than the naming of an actor for an unspecified role, I wanted to ask if anyone saw the 30th anniversary special of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last night on HBO? It ran for hours and I missed the very first potion of it, but let me say that this was an instant classic. Much like when I first saw Martin Scorsese's The Last Waltz, this program grabbed on and did not let go for hours, and can claim to be an historical chronicle for some of the best popular music of our lifetime. My big question will be how much HBO will charge for the much sought after DVD and Blue Ray, and I fear it will fetch a premium price. Some of the highlights for me:

---Crosby, Stills and Nash back together harmonizing like angels, the grey hair and the wrinkles fading away the second their mouths open to sing some of their classics;

---U2 backing up Mick Jagger singing Gimme Shelter with Fergie lending back up vocals and playing off Mick, doing an admirable job on what has always been some of my favorite vocals in rock and roll;

---B.B. King, captured on film once more, timelessly singing and playing guitar, not a bit of talent lost through the years;

---Ozzy Osborn singing Ironman with Metallica;

---Tony Morello, the guitar player for Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave, playing with Bruce Springsteen, and showing us all that he is, in fact, the second coming of Jimmy Hendrix;

---Art Garfunkel reuniting with Paul Simon to sing The Sound of Silence and Bridge over Troubled Water in a moment that an only be described as transcendent. It was an alchemy of melody, harmony and lyrics proving that this group was greater than the sum of its parts.
