Eripmay: Yes yes that's the one. Thank you for that. I liked her too. I found her willingness to listen to Sookie intriguing. So that's why I was wondering if Sookie is a great prize somehow to these Gods such as MA. Or can you be a God if you aren't worshipped anymore? But that was the direction I was going with it. Thank you

Okay I lent out my books but there was that old vampire called the "oracle" is that right? From ancient Greece, I think.

Twitche Don't mean to butt in, but I was just wondering if your were referring to the Ancient Pythoness, the blind vampire that ruled on Sophie Ann's right to rule Arkansas?

I loved the Ancient Pythoness and think of her often.

Ms. Latbfan,

I just read your sumptious chapter. I do love how you weave it all together. Please keep it up. Have you posted this on the Wiki or let the Bill people know about it. I'm sure it would be a HUGE hit with them. Thanks for all the hard work you put into this - it is deeply appreciated.

Hajnalka,

I'm on the Winchester side of the world. Eons ago I lived on the 66 side. OMG - that was hell going back and forth on 66. I've heard it's better now. My mom rode Saddle Seat and also rode barrel racing. It is such a small world.

Twitche, I like the way you think. I'd also enjoy a nice Percheron or Suffolk Punch cross for trail riding. Ideally, I'd love a Gaited Breed such as a Paso Fino, Andalusian, Lusitano, Hackney, or 3 Gaited Saddlebred. I love watching Saddle Seat nowadays. Someday, I'd enjoy getting down to Lexington, VA and the big Horse Park there for the Bonnie Blue Classic... one of the largest and most prestigious Gaited Horse Extravaganzas outside of the Kentucky State Fair.

So you are out I-66 past The Plains? Around Front Royal or Winchester? I was just out there in your neck of the woods. What a small world...

Hajnalka,
Hunter Seat - wow I used to ride show hunters when in my teens. The endless confirmation classes. Then I got bored with it all and turned to eventing, where I learned to love dressage. And realized how helpful it is in show jumpers. I don't ride anymore, the passion for it just went. Maybe realizing that I"m breakable and mortal helped in my decision. Although I sometimes think of getting a nice draft horse cross and heading out on the trails. I live on the outer rings of what is considered the Northern VA area - about 70 miles out of Washington, DC. I was just in Williamsburg a few weeks ago to see Jamestown. I love to go to Williamsburg in the Fall and see the Xmas decorations.

Tbluv: I'm torn between Carl or Maxine - it's a strange angle. The person she's biting does seem female. It would be fun if it was Carl though. He gives me the heebeegeebees. Maybe glamour doesn't work on the people MA possesses. That would explain why Bill doesn't glamour the old bat. And why the townsfolk would be super scary.

There hasn't been any Pam this season. I'm so bummed. I love her and her pumps. Still curious about Eric. Marm: I don't think he's depressed in a coffin - somehow I don't see him doing that.

As did I! I rode many years ago: Hunter seat. Are you comfortable telling me the general area in our fair state where you reside? I grew up in the Tidewater region, still go down to Williamsburg, Yorktown, and Gloucester regularly, and also have people from North Carolina (once considered the 'frontier'). Where are you, friend?

I'm guessing Jessica did a lousy job glamouring her because the summary for episode 11 talks about trying to contain Maxine's madness.

Tbluv: Yes she is. Oh that's great! I just watched it again. So Jason is gonna go all Rambo on MA. Soooo, where is Eric? And Pam? On the preview after last week's show. I slowed it down - could that be Jessica biting into Carl's neck?

VIDEO SPOILER

From what I can tell from the video, Jessica is biting Hoyt's momma's neck. That can't be too good for their relationship. I do hope we get to see Pam. It seems like she has barely been on this season.

Hajnalka and Blue,

You have done me I great favor. It's odd that a vampire show would make me recall. I spoke with my mom about it some today. I'm smiling at you speaking of fox hunting. I used to be one of those crazies out their riding to the hounds. I think back now and cringe a bit because I was always on the green, young horses. I live in VA and used to event too.

I feel better now that you explained more about the desertion, etc. I know my relatives weren't cowards or not willing to do their duty. I think it was just an awful time for them. And there has to come a point when you realize you can't win - at least in our culture we feel that way.

Amen, sister. Testify!

Although a true officer undertook just as many dangers (if not more so) than his men. N. B. Forrest was born to a poor family, rose to General on his own merit, and had countless numbers of horses literally shot out from under him. He led every engagement he authorized, took bullets, and often had them removed without anesthesia. The same can be said for Col. Mosby.

This is not the case so much in Virginia, where the various unique regional cavalry (such as the Black Horse) and mounted partisan regiments were and still are held in almost religious regard. This state was an equestrian nation, and horses are still revered in Virginia (we still ride to hounds here).

I am very touched that it was the discussions here aboard the Express that brought forth the fond memories of your dear Gran, Twitche. We've done some small good, after all, and I am glad to have helped.
