*SPOILER* According to the books: William Thomas Compton: Born April 9, 1840 Died November 25, 1868 His wife's name was Caroline Isabelle Holliday. They had 3 children: Thomas Charles Compton: Born 1859 Sarah Isabelle Compton: Born 1861 Lee Davis Compton: Born 1866, Died 1867 His daughter Sarah had a child named Caroline, named for her grandmother and she married a cousin of hers with the last name of Holliday. Their second child is Caroline Holliday. So Caroline Holliday went on to marry a Bellefleur. Caroline Holliday Bellefleur would be Bill's great-granddaughter. So Andy is his great-great-great-grandson.

Despite all this I do believe Andy is human and there is another reason he has been left out of all of this craziness, perhaps to ride in and help save the day!

He showed up to MA's house late after the orgy had started...and the last orgy..he wasn't drinking/hadn't eaten anything... He is nothing more than human (imo)

erip: I thought that it was mentioned in the books that Bill's daughter married a Bellefleur. Whether or not the grandmother is direct or not, the descending generations are still figured in the same way, whether Andy is descended from a dtr or son. But if you are correct about grandma, I defer.

If she has been here since the beginning (as Daphne said) then destruction of statue can't kill her. Sometimes a god has to go back to whatever grey netherworld the banished gods and goddesses return to when no one believes in them. Perhaps the destruction of her statue will represent the end of her reign as a deity, and she will still exist, but in the hazy fog of forgotten deities. If a deity has no followers, are they still a deity? Just a thought. Plus, we have all been here since the beginning, just in other forms. Once we were all the stuff of stars. latbfan, I didn't think I responded to your post directly, maybe I did, but my reponse to you is gone as well. I just wrote that there is a new crew for this episode, new writer & director if you didn't see it. Seems silly to remove these things but at least HBO has been consistent in there deletion process! And BTW HBO what happened to everyones signature lines? -- Edited by shivermeBILL at 08/19/2009 10:07 AM PDT

Carloine Bellefluer is Bill's direct descendant. Great-great grandaughter or something (I forget which one). Caroline married a Bellefluer and her son was Andy's father.

Attempting to sum up some of our questions or speculations about Maryanne since her story apparently will become the focus of the last three episodes and tie into our favorite vamps. 1. We have a statue that appears both in a flashback with Sam and when he goes to offer Maryanne the money he stole. Key to her death??? 2. We have Carl, who has randomly disappeared for the past few episodes and who seems to be at Maryanne's beck and call, but did displease her in one episode. 3. We know a GOD is demanding something and it appears it is a "he". How is he connected to Maryanne and why does Sam seem to be the sacrifice required? 4. We have Andy who overall seems to be immune to Maryanne and apparently not fazed by naked men either. ( Some do not agree with this interpretation) Is this because he is too pathetic? A supe?? 5. Is it a coincidence that Tara appears to link everyone to Maryanne? Does it have to do with her "exorcism" involving Miss J, the first to lose her heart? I know I have missed some ideas that some have suggested so please add on or correct any statement that I may have misinterpreted from others. -- Edited by DumplingJenn at 08/19/2009 10:08 AM PDT

Public Service Announcement: make sure y?all don?t reply directly to this post, as it?ll vanish if this gets deleted? Use the "reply to this topic" option up at the top instead. ***SPOILERS FOR EPISODE 2.10*** 2.10 New World in My View (Written by Kate Barnow & Elizabeth R. Finch; directed by Adam Davidson) Sookie, Bill and Jason return to a Bon Temps turned upside down by Maryann. Lured to Merlotte?s by Arlene, Sam and Andy find cold comfort in their refuge from a group of bloodthirsty revelers. Bill discovers that traditional vampire techniques don?t work on Maryann; Hoyt and Jessica try to keep a lid on Maxine?s madness; and Sookie tries to push through the darkness consuming Tara. With all hell breaking loose, Jason takes the bull by the horns to rescue Sam, at least for the moment. ?The bulk of the Clinton footage, for which the small Louisiana town stands in for the fictional Bon Temps, airs this Sunday (August 23). For the episode, the streets and trees around the East Feliciana Parish Courthouse in the center of Clinton had been decorated with wantonly abandoned clothing, all the doing of spell-casting character Maryann Forrester. Sunday, Jason and sister Sookie return to Bon Temps to witness the lascivious havoc wrought by Forrester.? RANDOM FRENZIER ? part of the mob hooting for blood and gore CHAUFFER ? freaks out when ?hick-town tweekers? smash into his car NIKKI - A clueless, 20-something sorority girl with her name on her T-shirt, she shows up at Lafayette?s looking to score some V so she can get through her finals. SECRET SERVICEMAN - A serious-looking vampire decked out like a secret serviceman (sunglasses and earpiece), he pats down Bill and tells him the Queen is expecting him ? http://www.hbo.com/trueblood/video.html

"The reason Andy cant be forced by Maryann is because he has vampire blood but doesnt know it yet.Remember in season one when he was introduced to Bill and bill said in a surprised way what andys last name was ans also remember when andy said his family owned almost all the land in Bon Temps a 100 years ago?" Joining late, but any connection Andy has to Bill was "pre-Vampire Bill" -- Bill wasn't a vampire when he helped create the daughter that was Andy's great, great, great, etc., so there is no vampire blood in him. -- Edited by swandiver at 08/19/2009 9:55 AM PDT

And yes, I did warn people... *shakes head* But it just wouldn't feel like Wednesday at lunchtime (I'm eating a very delicious spinach salad with oranges, raspberries, blueberries, and homemade poppyseed dressing, and it is tasty...) if I didn't have to repost my HBO released episode information. Second time's the charm, or will we have to try for a third? (or fourth?)
