Good morning peeps: Good to see you whitefield1, and welcome back from your travels! I've had company from out of town at the house since yesterday, which is why I have been absent. Didn't even have time to log-on until now. Somehow, having that extra hour did actually help. I'm very happy that you liked the end for Godric. After spending all that time with him, it was tough to read about him dying, wasn't it? I'm grateful I didn't have to write that and latbfan did a lovely job with that tough task. How was Halloween for everyone? Did anyone attend any parties? Did anyone dress up? I basically finished reading The Razor's Edge and handed out a small fortune's worth of snickers and baby ruth bars.

Good morning, everyone. It certainly was quiet in here over the weekend. I hope everyone had a good one... I started rereading New Moon last night. I'm such a sap, but I actually got teary. I did the first time I read it, too, when I bought all four books and consumed them in a 4-day (and night) marathon of fevered obsession. I was dragged to Twilight kicking and screaming, and then I made my friend stop at Walmart (the only store open that late) on the way home so I could buy the books. When he leaves... And then there are the pages with just the months written on them... Oh! And Jacob. Sweet, sweet Jacob. *sigh* What I love most about those books is their emotional authenticity, but since I read them in one very short setting, I'd forgotten how painful NM is to read. She really captures it though - the heartbreak. It's perhaps a bit melodramatic, but it feels so very real. I know they're for little teenaged-girls, but I'm very much enjoying the reread. Is anyone else getting ready for the movie?

Stumbling aboard; hand to forehead, I sink into a windowseat on the empty train and relax awhile. I have been traveling and have not been near a train station in a while but I did keep up with Godric's story and fulvia and latbfan you finsihed it off with elan! Fulvia, you history is wonderful and has truly added a dimension to Godric that I am afraid the TB writers will never be able t touch. A tip of the hat and a low salaam to you! Latbfan; I did not want to walk Godric into the sun again but you gave us such interesting dialogue and events between bomb and the arrival of Nan that I was able to swallow the bitter pill. Well done and thank you also for organizing the RR. It was fun and if you all will have me I would like to join the next one after the holidays...it should help pass the long, dark winters nights when I can wish for a viking companion by the fire. Well, I better move along; thanks Marleneemm for the bagel and lox; it is cool enough in the car I don't think they could have spoiled yet. I passed on the pumpkin muffins; after yesterday I am all pumpkined out--until Tday that is! Take care all, I''ll sneak by another time!

Fulvia tip-toes into the railcar, rested by an extra half hour of sleep, and carries a tray of marzipan turnovers and fresh French Roast coffee. The gang of four snores, contentedly and she takes her usual seat and lets the coffee surge through her. Ahhh, Saturday. Good morning like minded-peeps: Blue: I'm glad to see you back and hope that you are taking it easy. And, by all means, take care of that 42" plasma TV! One would not even want to throw virtual fruit its way. Does anyone own the Blue-Ray DVD set for season one? Somehow, I seem to recall that it was perhaps Lou that did, but my memory is hazy. If anyone reading this does, in fact, own the Blue-Ray set, could you please post what that DVD specifically says about Lorena's back story? It would be greatly appreciated. As far as I can recall, she was a brought up in the Court of the Hapsburg Empress, Maria Theresa, she was a novice nun ready to take orders right before she was turned by a Gypsy, or Roma. That's all I can remember. Our next round robin, which won't start for a while will center around Lorena and I'd like to have as thorough a refresher on her back story as possible. I'm trying to gear up for her, although, I have to confess that I don't have nearly as good a feel for her as I did Godric. Strange that I should understand the voice of a man better than the voice of a woman. It might be hard getting into the groove, actually, so if someone would take pity on me and post her Blue-Ray backstory, I'll send a virtual kiss. Where is everyone? Fooled, Shiver, Whitefield1? Is everyone just taking a break? That is perfectly understandable given the length of the show's hiatus, but if any of you are lurking, please know we're thinking of you.

Piperpals skulks onto the railcar, checks out the Sleeping Foursome tucked underneath an orange and black afghan, and quietly puts a cinnamon apple coffee cake, a chocolate fudge cake and a carafe of French roast coffee down on the table. Sighing, she blows a kiss to the railcar passengers, and heads back out the door. I miss you all so much! I am just swamped and can't seem to find ANY time to visit my favorite train! Hope you all have a wonderful Halloween, and that Bill (or Eric or Sookie) haunt your dreams tonight! Hugs, Piperpals -- Edited by Piperpals at 10/31/2009 5:47 AM PDT

Bluetkg: Sorry if I misdirected my post to you. I'm trying to clear up from a while back concerning when Sookie first had Bill's blood: It was the second night~not the night that Sookie saved Bill from being drained by the Rattray's~That was the first night. Bill gave Sookie his blood the night the Rattray's kicked her in the ribs, kidney. Hope that clears it up~ and also I love the last two chapters of the round robin!!!

Evening all: I usually am not crude BUT, I will make an exception... WTF Mar??: re your comments addressed directly to me on 10/30 @2:24am that you had to get "off your chest" about Ep1 seas1 and when Bill /Sookie drank each other's blood due to the Rattray attack. I never even mentioned that at all! I never even alluded to it in any of the comments I have ever made that I can recall since G-d knows when. I don't see that as an issue. I believe you may have my posts confused with someone else. I have no quarrel with you or anyone else on here and have no desire to start one. Please admit your misinterpretation and if you still see me at odds with you in some way, please do me the courtesy to explain how and what I may have done. I was the one defending you and backing you awhile back, when you were getting allot of flack from all sides. Geez, I've only been back on here a few days and already the water's hot. Give me a break. fulvia: Ok so I'm a Bill's girl, right? Any doubts? BUT I would never wreck my plasma flat screen because of Eric's bad boy shenanigans. LOL. I know you are kidding. I actually like seas 2 Eric much better than seas 1 Eric and I can certainly see his appeal. I just don't happen to want him with Sookie. latb: I agree with you about CH and Bill. I said ages ago that IMO, Bill was the embodiment of all the guys that had done CH wrong in her life, or maybe even one guy in particular. IMO, CH is the one that set up the Eric/good-Bill/bad storyline and it has been up to AB to try to sort through that in a more rational way so as to make Trueblood more interesting and compelling and give the fans of both a fair chance. If AB stuck to the books the way CH wrote them, I doubt that the TB/Sookie book fan community would be as large. It seems in tv, you have to have a triangle, as so many of you have stated, just to keep the story flowing. Each rival has to be somewhat viable a choice to keep us tuned in, otherwise all that would be left are Eric fans and everyone else would have bailed by now, losing half the audience. I agree CH pumped up Bill's part in the later book because TB took off and she probably smelled a little extra $. I have enjoyed Eric's dry humor this past seas and I hope that somehow the writers will pick Bill's mood up eventually. I know getting kidnapped and tortured might not be seen as a humorous situation this seas, but Bill's droll attitude most of the time, gets to me. I know he is supposed to be full of angst and regret, but come on, wasn't it really great to see him smiling and happy as he did the swing dance with Sookie? Eric has had 1000 years to adjust to his "life" and adapt to the human world and Bill is a babe in the woods compared to that. Maybe eventually in coming seasons (I pray there are more coming seasons) Bill will lighten up. I truly hope so and I hope AB gives Bill the chance to show he can also adapt. Blue

I wasn't happy that > they wrote him; I don't think the character would > have blundered so much. Some good points. I too, for some odd reason, love Lorena and her glorious psychosis. I really think that Eric did not trust Bill and KNEW for a fact that he might go psycho if Sookie was in danger. Again, he recognized the RISK she was taking so and he was not going to include Bill. Its semantics and silly as hell to say that it was Eric that saved everyone in the sense that he offered his body KNOWING that this decision would bring forth Godric ... he knew godric would not let him die. yeah yeah I know ...reaching ...lol Okay Okay ... i SAID I was reaching !!!!!! I think the scene was written that way in order to set up the up coming events with the godric storyline. Bill has no relationship with G so it had to be Eric. Plus ... I freakin LOVE that ep and it gave Eric the chance to offer his life for Sookie .. as a Eric fan i love that, of course. Hey thanks very much for the back and forth exchange.
