LOL ... exactly. I mean please. I find it funny when all the CH purist start their histrionics every time AB does not follow the book story line to a T.
I mean last season AB had a choice to put Eric on the hood of a car in pink spandex ( ridiculous and poorly written) OR give us a tender and beautiful Eric and Sookie scene in bed, (and on the rooftop with Godric) that was unforgettable.
I could care less if he continues to make Bill the good guy. Both Eric and Bill are archetypes... and I have made my choice ...heh.

What is especially funny to me is when they say "but, but , but , AB's making Eric the bad guy ...
Well, Eric IS a bad guy ...ROFL. Personally, I WANT a bad guy... jeez ... what kind of Viking Vamp badass would Eric be if he didn't resort to trickery to get Sookie? I say "Bring ON the trickery Eric". Show us what you've got sweetheart.
Let Bill be the good boy vamp. Personally, no attraction here but I understand who he is and why so many women love him and want him for Sookie.
I believe that AB will challenge us all to re examine our long held stereotypical view points on what constitutes "good" and 'bad" through these archetypes.
In the end Sookie will have to choose ... ( my bet is neither) but in the meantime I say "All is fair in love and war"
May the best vamp win ...

Q (asked by the Advocate): What other gay characters will be introduced in season 3?
A (AB): We?ll be meeting the vampire king of Mississippi and his long, long-term companion ? and by long-term I mean really long-term ? Talbot. I think Lafayette may meet a love interest, and certainly Pam, who works with Eric, she?s certainly got a lesbian vibe ? I don?t know that that?s all she is, but she certainly does seem to appreciate the women.
Unless he was throwing out red herrings, he said to the GLBT (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender) Group that Pam would have a love interest...
Although I suppose another way of reading that, as I am seeing now, is that Pam is certainly not simply heterosexual, not that we'll certainly see Pam with a love-interest. I was, perhaps, a bit eager in my desire to see someone confirm more Pam, and Pam with a lover. Any lover. Vampire. Human. Martian. I don't care...
I always see all the vampires as omni-sexual. Seriously, if you've lived that long, who wouldn't have tried everything?
But yes. More Pam. Please, please, please more Pam. And perhaps I read too much into it, but Pam with a lover? Oh! That would be so wonderful. I bet she's HILARIOUS in bed... v v

Good Afternoon All,
I had to hop on and see what was happening on the VE.
I love both Bill and Eric for different reasons. I do sway towards Eric because I find him incredibly intriguing. As others have posted - I'm thrilled that Eric will have an "interest" in another female. It would be nice to see him in some "blood pumping" scenes.
But, I remember last season there was a lot of talk about Eric and a male interest. This turned out to be Laffy - and it wasn't that big of a deal. I guess my point is that we should all take the spoilers with a grain of salt because they could be for misdirection.
I also agree that Eric would not be pinning after Sookie - he's doing his own thing and biding his time. I guess patience takes on a whole new meaning when you have almost forever ahead of you.

Actually, I was thinking that Talbot could be connected with Lorena and Mott, just like in the books. Also, SPOILER Alan Ball said there was to be the death of a character in Season 3, that would not surprise book readers. So, I am cautiously optimistic. Otherwise, I'll get the dart gun and start watching Showtime.

Yes. Please. Even in the books, there was a big time lag from the end of book two to the beginning of book three. Every person in Bon Temps is going to be in need of therapy with the amount of trauma happening in such a short period of time.

Oh: latbfan, I like that theory. Jason deals with PTSD. Maybe he doesn't really meet zombie coeds, maybe he is just hallucinating. Remember when he saw Liam's face on Dawn? Zombies may be a tad over the top.

None of these new casting calls give us any hint of Lafayette's story line. Unless he starts some relationship with the new orderly with a heart of gold.

Just here to say that this is one Eric fan that is absolutely thrilled to know that he will have a lover in the future.
I think your right. Alan Balls "Eric" would not waste a minute pining over Sookie ...lol He may resort to a little trickery (heh) to have her sexually but this Eric would never be reduced to chasing her all over the country in hopes that she will "love him".
He would not bother wasting his time
She will have to come to her on her own or not at all.
I think this is the way AB will play it out and to that I say "Bravo".

He's a real natural.
An injury like Stephen had is fairly common~you can
do it any number of ways.
I tore my ACL/Minicius back in 1994 and it healed on
it's own.
