Shyly enters the railcar. Squares her shoulders, takes a deep breath and faces her fellow riders Hi it is DJ, aka the author of Chapter 4 I just wanted to thank you all for your more than generous and kind words. I am by no means a writer and this is the first thing of any kind I have written, let alone posted, but it really was fun, as latbfan kept repeating to me, and I thank you for letting me join in the fun, despite my lack experience. I hope everyone has a lovely Friday and weekend.

Morning all: Fooled: I agree that the Bill/Sookie relationship has been the drawing card for me on TB and I am somewhat worried about seas 3. I have little desire to see Sookie off with anyone else, be it Eric or whomever. I know, technically, she will probably be searching for Bill throughout the season. Yet I have little doubt that she will learn, one way or another, of his supposed deception and being Sookie will go off in a snit over it, cutting him little, if any, slack, even when she finds him. If AB stays within the CH framework, Sookie will not abide any explanation, no matter how plausible or that he was commanded by the queen, or Lorena or anything else. Sookie seems to always see things in black and white where Bill is concerned, and doesn't seem to factor in the fact that he's a vampire, you know, with a queen, a maker and a sheriff, all of whom he must kowtow to regardless of his love for her. He has already defied vampire rules on more than one occasion for her, but do you think she will consider that when she finds out about his "mission"? I doubt it. I have never watched Friday Night Lights, but now I want to. HA. As to the newest RR chapter: Whomever wrote it should certainly not be unwilling to come forward. It was a great chapter and adds a nice continuity to the ongoing story by mixing in distant events with the events in the 1800s. I understand completely if you choose to remain annonymous, as I would possibly feel the same because of my own literary shyness. But again, the chapter was interesting and led the reader further into the characters' experiences and tempted us with possiblilities. Thanks for keeping it going on par. Blue

Good morning, everyone. There's a new chapter to the Godric RR: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5400021/4/ The author chooses to remain anonymous, but if you like it and post here, I'm sure she'll read it. Maybe we can encourage her to come forward and claim her lovely chapter. It's been so fun to see what everyone comes up with. I can't wait to see where it goes next!

I don't know if anyone here is a fan of Friday Night Lights - a really terrific show - but the lead couple have been together all three seasons, and the writers have promised not to break them up or have them cheat on each other because they are the moral center of the show. They face a lot of adversity, and sometimes react to it quite differently, but they stay together. This has been extremely satisfying. As much as I love AB, I think he should re-think his position on what viewers want to see. As I have said before, I originally fell for TB because of the Bill/Sookie story. If they won't be together for much of season 3, I simply won't enjoy the show as much. -- Edited by FooledbyLove at 10/02/2009 3:21 AM PDT

Hey all: Thanks for the nice wishes. I'm waiting on a surgical date. Will let you all know when I'll be gone. Fulvia: Bon voyage. Hope your trip goes well and safe. Lat:Ironic that you always seem to say what I am thinking! I have read both SM's and AB's statements that happy couples aren't always the most interesting and SM says that watching that would be boring to viewers so (paraphrased) you have to mix it up to keep things interesting. I mentioned quite a long time ago on the Train that the reason I stopped watching soaps many years ago was that if they showed a couple in happy togetherness and loving bliss, then you could be sure the bottom would drop out soon! I always found that ridiculous. Why on earth is a happy couple anethema to writers and viewers? As you say, lat, if TB is so innovative and groundbreaking wouldn't bucking tv tradition be the thing to do? I agree that Bill & Sookie have enough differences and issues to keep them on their toes as a couple for quite some time, without throwing in Sookie rejecting Bill and jumping to anything that moves, as she dioes in the books. I enjot the tv series far more than the books anyway, because CH mixes in too many characters and goes flying off in so many directions and with so many supernatural beings that at times the books feel jumbled and confusing. I would prefer AB and the TB writers to be more focused and perhaps take a "giant risky leap" into the unknown and keep Bill & Sookie together and in love, even if they give them some lovers' angst now and then. Just my two cents. Blue

Good morning peeps: At DFW, waiting for a flight out, but at least I'm in the new International terminal which is chalk full of good resturants and good shopping. At least I can sample expensive perfume and French hand lotion before being packed into the plane. Did SM state that Sookie and Bill would be separated, physically, b/c of the kidnapping or have an emotional rift or both? I can't see season three working w/o the emotional separation. They shoes us Hadley in the last few episodes for a reason. But, you are right latbfan, I would love to see a little more character development and a little less supernatural escapades. Sorry about the contractions, bit I'm testing on the I-phone at. Bennigans and the waitress is getting antsy. Goog morning to all.

Good morning, everyone. Once again, I find myself sitting in my favorite seat, alone with the Fearsome Foursome. There's a little poll-thingy on the Vault, but the important bit was a SM quote about Bill and Sookie not being together in S3. That makes sense, as Bill's been kidnapped, and he'll be held somewhere in S3 while she's trying to find him. I doubt they'll be on screen much together. But I'm getting tired of reading everyone rave about how "ground-breaking" the show is, and then simultaneously read that Bill and Sookie can't be together because that's just not interesting to watch and tv shows can't show happy couples. Those two ideas are mutually exclusive - if it's groundbreaking, shouldn't it be doing something no one else has been able to do? I'm not saying Bill and Sookie must stay together. On the contrary, they both have some issues to work on individually before they can truly love each other. But I loathe this notion that a couple getting along isn't interesting. Frankly, just the age-gap alone would provide plenty of turmoil, even without all the other crazies going on. I think, if the plot is to remain focused on rushing from one supernatural disaster to another (which is essentially what the books are), it's actually a very good idea to ground at least part of the show in something real. What happened to, "It's the emotions, stupid!"?

Good evening, everyone. Thank you for your kind words. I'm really excited to see where the RR goes next. This is a lot like waiting for Christmas, and the blank page is full of such possibility when you're talking about 2000 years to work with. Oh, this is fun! For anyone who hasn't signed up for a chapter and would like to, please PM me and let me know. It's fun! You can do it!!! (ericrocks, why haven't you signed up for a chapter? Hmmmmm?) blue, I'm sorry to hear that you're not feeling well. My thoughts and prayers are with you; I hope you're back to your ol' self very soon. fulvia, safe travels tomorrow! We'll miss you! vgannon, I loved how proud Eric and Bill were of Sookie disposing the body, too. It was really quite funny. So surely they'll work that in? But then again, there were some real gems in LDiD that didn't make it to S2, so who knows. Maybe that's another question for our growing list for the writers (that we'll never get to ask because none of us are going): How do they decide what to keep and what goes from the books? I am glad AB said no to Bubba though. I know he's a bookie-favorite and all, but I always thought that was just weird and lame. I'm glad TB won't be going there, for whatever reason. -- Edited by latbfan at 09/30/2009 5:51 PM PDT

Good evening all: vgannon and bluetkg Good to "see" you guys on the boards. Yes, the writers have their work cut out without Bubba in book 3; I kinda got a kick out of the fact that Bill and Eric were so proud of Sookie for hiding that dead were body. I hope they can keep that in the series somehow. I found that very comical. Blue, thanks so much for your words on our fanfic. It's really scary to post that stuff out there. latbfan: Great job, as always on the fan fic. I loved it, and I love the fact that Godric's vampire gift is that he can summon animals. Your chapter was lovely. I find that I can't wait to read what everyone has written, like a child waiting for Christmas. Tomorrow, I may be out of pocket for most of the day since I'm heading on an airplane on my way to a CLE seminar. I do have a 3 hour layover in Dallas, so I may be able to jump on the train from my I-phone. *fingers crossed* The plane is supposed to have WiFi, but that last plane I was on that made that claim was just plain wrong. My plane leaves my city at 7:00 a.m., so I won't be posting when I wake up; I'll be stumbling to the coffee maker in hopes of getting conscious. (I'm so not a morning person).

Good eve all: I have not been on the Train for a couple of days. I am having some difficulties and have to go back in the hospital soon. Re the RR: Fulvia, Twitche and latb: Lat, I have posted a review. Your stories so far has been so wonderful and not in the least amateurish. I feel as if I am reading a professional continuation of the backstories of the Trueblood characters. It is a joy to read and I hate to have to wait for each chapter to be posted. You all seem to me as good as any published writers I have read and better than many. Great to have such talent in our midst. Blue
