1. The exhaustive detail about what everyone is wearing and eating gets a little tiresome. EX: "Sheriff Dearborn who isn't a fan of mine was eating the Chili Cheese Fries" 2. Quinn BABE BABE BABE 3. Sookie's refusal to acknowledge her feeling for Eric and in turn all he has done for her. Oh and you can also post things you like about the books. This is what I do not like about the books: (clears throat)
Once upon a time, I was a teacher (I am now a librarian and, yes, there is a difference -- added in case family members are reading this who still think they are one and the same) and I used to teach writing to the Teacup Humans. Well, we had this saying: Show don't tell. This meant that, if you wanted to portray your character as being honest, for example, you showed them being honest, as opposed to just saying they are honest. Well, I noticed early on in CH's books that she has a problem with this. She has a way of saying Sookie, in particular, is a certain way, but then showing in the story just the opposite. I hate it!!
One thing that irks me the most is when *SPOILER ALERT*
Eric told her that she was special but it wasn't because of the...(seriously, SPOILER ALERT!!)...
fairy blood/telepathy and I remember thinking well what is it then? Because, without the telepathy and the blood thing, seriously, what is so special about the girl? Just because CH has another character telling her she is special doesn't make it so when it is not backed up by the story.
Of course, I realize this is all subjective and that there are those who find her captivating. I am just giving my opinion and mine is that, without her "special qualities" she's got nothing...or close to it.

Thanks Vixi, I wondered if it was because I read mostly male fiction writers, but now I know. CH should leave AR, I believe it has impacted her work.

I have not wanted to say this. I think CH is a very dear person, and she has done us all a great favor in writing her vampire series.
Here's the rub. She is mean to all of her female characters. They get murdered, beat up and ***SPOILER AHEAD***

It is free and you don't need a mic... just go to the skype website and download the free download...

Just go to the Skype website and hit the green buttoun that says get Skype it's free! It's so easy to install it almost does it by itself!

so even with no mic you can use it...
