First I would like to say, the scene with Tara and her mother together at the cemetary was great. Both actress' did some great acting. The writers were great in the way they had me wondering if the mother's demon was just addiction, or was it a literal demon. The up coming previews shows Tara's mother with some sort of voodoo person. I wonder if she really does have a Demon.

I think Tara and her mother both need to be written off the show they contribute nothing but make me lose IQ points whenever they are on.Jason also makes me go retarded too with his stupidity.
When her mom was saying she was possesed I laughed so hard at what a stupid turn the writers are taking.
If we are going to be serious cause for all we know her mom is probably going to have some nasty sex scene too to get our attention again. She probably is possessed or is going to a witch/voodoo preistess? I know in the books they do have witches and witchcraft in fact one of the books goes into detail. Now I don't know if the writters are going to take parts from book to book but why not bastardize the series even more.
I honestly don't know why I keep watching the show I think I just have some hope that it will get better I really hope once they get more into Vampire Politics it will get better or it gets canceled I dunno will see.

That does make sense, the holy man that says he an heal her BUT he needs a fee for healing. Talk about what would jesus do huh? I sure don't think he'd be charging fee's LOL.

Nahh.. my thought is that Tara's mother is being victimized with a scam.
She's ruined her life drinking-- driven away her daughter-- and I image there's some phony holy man who has given her the perfect 'excuse' so she doesn't have to blame herself-- 'she's posessed'.
Most likely, someone's offering to get rid of the demon, for a fee.

I think Tara's mom is a long time drinker, she has health problems that relate to long term drinking and so happens their coming into light now not drinking anymore. The alcohol isn't hidding it, and covering it so for me it's not demon. It's a stupid, wrong choice of life style and it finally caught up with her. Then again she is in a show where humans are fangbangers, that live vs die so anything can happen! 
A in-law of mine, she's drank ALOT and for a while finding out about a year ago her liver isn't at it's best failing. An she won't be here until she's 80, or 60's and she's just in her 30's. If she keeps wanting to drink, it'd be shorter but if not she has to live one day at a time until her liver truly starts to fail an the meds stop working.
If Tara's mom is about late 30, to early 40 and she drank for A WHILE ALOT shocked she doesn't have health problems yet. The scape goat for not admitting a problem, is blaming a demon or that wasn't "them" they were someone else. All we're missing is Tara's mom, and Tara on Jerry Springer except leave out mama being all godly.

In a regular show I'd agree she's an alcoholic and nothing more.. but this is true blood.. so demon? why not?
I'd say it's a pretty pathetic demon if it took it twenty years to work her up to hitting Tara with a bottle but evidently it's more than a match for Tara's mom...

I have to say, that I think the writers put in a lot of real life racism issues within the characterizations of the vampire race. I think Sookie's grandmother was basically telling Sookie to not be afraid of being with someone outside of her race (so to speak) and to go with her heart. I think when Sookie said she was afraid, in that light I think perhaps her grandmother was simply saying when one is falling in love it can be scary. I don't think Sookie's grandmother had any dark secrets other than something that Sookie clearly knows about pertaining to the uncle that showed up at the funeral.

I think Lettie is a raging alcoholic but there could be a demon at the bottom of it. I know that Tara would give anything to have her mom back and be a real mom so I think she would try anything as I'm sure most children would.
