Yes she's "hot" but not exceptionally so. This show would be better served and probably more popular if they choose an actress with more talent. Her scandal value is of limited interest to actual viewers

I can't understand why people keep refering to her as nice, she represents a large segment of working actors who get parts by socializing with the right people, but if you saw her on Project Greenlight it's obvious that she really has disdain for anyone that she doesn't consider network worthy, and treats them poorly. She's not a good actress period, and she's extreemly unprofessional.

ummm, krista never did porn, she did emanuelle ripoffs, the kinda stuff you can see every night on cinemax
personally, i think she is a very good actor
i enjoy the whole cast, and there is no question...frank langella plays the greatest ahole ever
this is a great show, heres to them making more seasons

I felt the need to reply not becasue i felt you were specifically talking to me, but because i was tired of hearing that just because i or anyone didn't like a specific facet of the show (Krista is 1/3 of this show. I love the other 2/3) then i and everyone who dared to post a semi-negaive comment was "jealous," "full of hate" etc.
Also, i must be honest, i kind of enjoy the exchanges because i think poeple can really say some good things when you are responding to a conflict. Conflict isn't always bad and people make me think of things that i might not have considered before, but i want people to know that you can not like a part of a show and still love the show, or you can think a particular actress isn't great and not have any animosity toward her. I don't give a rats ass that krista did porn. It paid her bills, she was an adult, it's really none of my business. And the fact that she is trying to be taken seriously is commendable. Do I have to buy it? Absolutely not.
But i will continue to watch and continue to post thoughts and I hope people will do the same. This board would be boring if we all felt the same way about each of these actors/characters/people, although i dare say we all have a conscensus on Brian and Jennifer. i haven't gone all the way back to the beginning, but most posts seem to be about krista.

Everyone on this show gives something interesting (to the show) not only as an actor, but as a person playing some aspect of themselves. That's what the show is all about. You don't have to like it, but if you're watching every week you probably do.
Busta, I wasn't specifically naming you as a "hater". I didn't mention your name or details of your writings in my reply.
The fact that you're the only person who seemed to feel responsible for being a hater and responded to my writing is something you'll need to figure out.
By the way, I'd put sliced bread before Audrey Hepburn. And who knows, in a few years maybe Krista Allen will be a not too distant third.
But like you said, "Just because I have my oppinion about krista doesn't mean anything...I have a right to my opinion" You're right. And, yes, you do have a right to your opinion. We all do. Now, enjoy the show.

A lot of people are ragging on Krista but giving Clooney, an A list star who gets his girlfriends from the gutter, a free pass.
He has a history of sleeping with, but hiding, his porn star girls including Ginger Lynn who in recent years has spoken publicly about sleeping with George Clooney for a 6 month period about 8 or 9 years ago.
There's nothing wrong with casting your porn star girlfriend in tv shows you are producing but why not own up to it? Has anyone noticed he's too afraid to face the press one on one to discuss the show but has only responded to previously submitted written questions in writing?

I don't hate Krista. She is beautiful, to be sure, but what I do hate is people thinking that just because i don't see her as a viable actress i am a "hater." I must be uneducated because i don't agree that krista is the most talented thing since Audrey Hepburn, or Katherine Hepburn or sally field or laura linney or cate blanchett or sliced bread. I also think ben Aflleck is flat, and that doesn't mean that i have all this hate. Jennifer Lopez is barely watchable and Brad Pitt isn't that great in the wrong role (he was amazing in fight club and snatch, troy... not so much). Just because i have my oppinion about krista doesn't mean anything. The moment i say something like she slept her way to the top or she would do anything to get a part, by all means, jump on me, But I am watching and giving my honest opinion. I just wish everone would take it and say 'ok, i don't agree but you have a right to your opinion and i will not stoop to call you a hater becasue i don't really know what your perspective is. you could truly believe that.' then again, i will probably get 15 people in here callin' me a hater.

Hmmmm.....so much hate out there about this one.
Krista is beautiful, and your inability to see past that when you look at her isn't a reflection on her or her abilities as an actress.
Yeah, she made some sexy stuff in the past. She's a sexy girl.
I'm glad to see her finally play a role where acting is what matters. Ironically, of course, playing a beautiful actress who has trouble getting considered for real roles. But, she plays the part well. Of course there's something aesthetically pleasing about simply watching her on screen - she's hot - but you shouldn't let that get in the way of being affected by what's behind that.

Man, that's harsh as hell. But everyone has a right to their opinion. I think she does a good job though I'm not familiar with her past "work".
I enjoy the show quite a bit. it's a lot of fun.
Jen is my favorite hands down. She seems so naive and "un LA" (I grew up there). And IMHO is the cutest girl ever. Even at 100 she'll still be adorable. hope she goes far in the business.
Frank is quite impressive as others here have said.
Bummer about the one tree hill thing. but no one will remember that pile of dung in 10 years anyway B. That's if that was actually real that is.
Looks like y'all had fun with it. Hope you get to take it and your careers further as a result.

I am so intrigued with krista. I read in the posts that one person found her to not have "it". I disagree, although opinons are free here and I respect all views. yes, she did some bad TV and movies, but this series just proves how brilliant she is. She doesnt try to act and her point comes through where I can actually FEEL her emotion and she doesnt have to say a word. now, to me, THAT is "it". I dont think that George Clooney felt sorry for her at all .. he's a buisness man and would not waste his time "feeling sorry" for a friend, or in this case, a girlfriend. That doesnt give him much credit. She is wonderful to watch and I think krista is the best part of this show.

Hey i'm cool, I'll get off Krista's back, but i have also worked in casting and just don't see "it" in her. Well, what do you guys think will happen in these actors careers after this? will they be taken more seriously? Do you think we'll see them on the big screen soon? (i promise, only positive posts from me for the next week).

Oh lighten up. Krista is charismatic, interesting and kind of smart. I've worked for twenty years as a director and before that in casting. Coming across someone as fresh and compelling as Krista in a casting session would be a delight and a relief.

oh blah. You really believe that? I do think krista represents a part of hollywood...the hopeless part. If you read her part of the interviews she talks about how she is acting on the show and how they only get one take and she wonders if it's bad (it is). She is completely clueless as to what this show is about and what it represents. Now, not only am i convinced that she's a bad actress, i'm also convinced that she will never be smart enough to be a good one. And just so everyone doesn't think i'm being a hater, I will give her credit for being a good mom. She seems to really love her son, but i will never see her as an actress. She will be busty woman in elevator forever, and you know, that's not such a bad thing if she can provide a stable life for her child and put him through college.
