Bunk returns a McNulty favor; Carcetti is forced to make political deals; Hayes talks to Templeton about his sources.

> > Damn I hated to see Omar go myself but it is > what it > > is. The game is all risk and reward but you > have to > > be able to accept the consequences. You know for the first eight days after I saw this episode I was pissed on the way he Omar went out. But I have come to grips with it now. I think Simon and the writers "did' give him a proper send off. For one it shows that he couldn't be taken out man to man "Marlo Stansfield aint man enough to face me in these streets". Instead a coward had to take him from behind. Furthermore, it kind of gives him the same type death of some notorious wild wild west outlaws like Billy The Kid or Jesse James. Like in Omar on the "Streets" Billy the Kid and Jesse James in the "West" gained both fear and respect from both citizens, law officails and other outlaws. So I think its fitting that he met a similar demise.

"Given what happens in 59, I'm not ready to give up on Omar yet, despite what I posted yesterday about the Michael K. Williams interview. They already tied up so much, there ain't much left besides all the threads that lead to Omar. Think about it: his reappearance would constitute one of the greatest "suprise" endings ever." He's only coming back as a zombie. Or, "Only in a rerun", to quote the Running Man.

Props to HBO for not airing the Finale before March 9. BTW, why would they do that unless the finale contains some unbelievable shockers. Given what happens in 59, I'm not ready to give up on Omar yet, despite what I posted yesterday about the Michael K. Williams interview. They already tied up so much, there ain't much left besides all the threads that lead to Omar. Think about it: his reappearance would constitute one of the greatest "suprise" endings ever.

I definitely think everyone should wait. I was going to regardless if ondemand aired it early. I feel like everyone who likes this show or is remotely interested, should sit down the proper night, march 9th and tune in. It's going to be something amazing. I think for the ending when they play the music during the season ending, they should play sam cooke "a change gon come" I really hope they play that song I saw them talking about always trying to fit that into the show on the hbo home page. What better way and what better song to play than that? The lyrics I feel are directly related with what this show is all about. And who more than baltimore right now needs change? This is a city in desparate need of it.

If you go to the official schedule section of the site, it confirms that episode 60 will not be available OnDemand until March 10th. That means that every viewer gets to see the series finale at the same time, which is the way it should be for a series finale. It also confirmed that the episode is 93 minutes. > > With regards to ON DEMAND. > > Will they actually post the final episode a > week > > before? sign the petition to try to keep the wire for a 6th season! (even though everybody will probably die at this point in the show) would be cool if they created some new storylines or kept some of the old ppls, even if they care enough to give us anymore episodes http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/the-wire-season-6

I believe the tags were switched for all the unbelievers who couldn't believe Omar was taken out by a kid. By showing his body it quieted all the unbelievers and allowed us to see his scarred body in representation of the hard life he led and finally to get one last glimpse of our notorious friend.

You'll see "HBO Community Home>>Forums>>The Wire>>The Wire:HBO Official Threads". Click on "The Wire" and you'll see several threads, some of which address Episode 59.

I respect your opinion, but this is a non issue. If HBO was racist, The Wire would be a very different show, or it wouldn't be on at all. There are plenty of other targets to point the racism finger at, this ain't one of them...

With regards to ON DEMAND. Will they actually post the final episode a week before? I have a feeling they will make everyone sweat it out until March 9th...

It would put an end > to all this bickering about spoilers....... Exactly. I just saw Ep 59, and I'd like to talk about it. HBO should put up a new thread every time an ep becomes available (whether aired or on demand).
