Episode 58 will play on HBO tonight, episode 59 will be available for whoever has HBO On Demand at 12:00 Midnight. HBO set it up so you can see every episode a week early with HBO On Demand. Everybody else gotta wait...episode 58 tonight then 59 next week...got it?

For the record, the title of this thread is "Episode 58: Clarifications". It's not "Omar died, DAMN DAMN DAMN!!". This ain't Good Times. Sounds like you need to create a thread, Orthello, not me.

You can come on here and rant to your hearts content as well. Seeing as how you just got here, you can step off. I don't have to accept your position on the matter. Period. Go knit a blanket with Omar's face on it if you want. Whine away, Sport. Cats come on here to cry and expect everyone to break out the tissue. Everybody doesn't feel the way that you do, but nobody asked you to leave because of it. -- Edited by mrntgr at 02/24/2008 5:22 PM

for the freaks who keep saying get over it-then stop posting. I t seems to me this thread isn't for you and your so called majority of thinkers who think episode 58 was a masterpiece. this is what the board is for-to vent over somehting that is actually really trivial-but me and the others in cyberspace are expressing are frustrations. Kenard killing omar is plausible and can fit what the creators of the show is trying to do. Many just disagree with the direction of the show took. I just looked at the prequel again with Omar and it does make me disappointed that this "underground-anti-hero" was killed off. see as far as i am concerned is that if there is a wire movie or something of that nature that deals with these characters, then Omar will not be a current character no more. If you loved episode 58 then start a new thread like "why episode 58 was the greatest wire show this year" or "it was great to see Omar go down that way"

Folks need to accept that Kenard, just like thousands of other kids in that town, is capable of such an act. He got it into his head to do it and went for it. Enough of this CSI mess. He got a clean shot and took out Omar. The end. On to other matters.

The show remains unpredictable so the fact that Kenard is the one to drop Omar is not surprising to me. What I am a little confused about is that when Omar is walking the alley, (just before he robs the stash after the Nockos take away the corner muscle) why do all of the kids bolt at the mere mention of Omar, but Kenard seems unaffected at all and continues pouring acid (or whatever it is) on the cat's back? Throughout the show, kids and adults alike scramble (without fail) when Omar makes an appearance, but all of a sudden Kenard doesn't even so much as look up when Omar is 5 feet away from him. Doesn't jibe with the tenor of Omar's character and the fear he injects into the community.

The little punk, bad-mouthing brat was the little deliquent that was trying to catch the cat on fire when Omar passed by. (Didn't you realize that he didn't run off like the others did?). He took it upon his butter-lip self to take out Omar. And got lucky.

The bullet went in the back of his neck and came out at the top of his head. How could Kenard be shooting up from "some distance"? Would he not have just hit the ceiling?

Kenard was not directly behind Omar. Kenard was at a distance from the side. He is also short. Chris was at point-blank range when he shot Prop Joe. Kenard was not.
