It's the end of an era. Pay tribute to the personalities, city and show that changed the way America views "The Game."

I think that the final episode can be summarized by one quote "The GAME never changes just its players"...Michael is now Omar, Marlo is the new Prop Joe and Dukie is the new Bubbles. It was a sad ending but true to life. This was the best series ever and I will miss it. Well, I must go and cancel my HBO subscription. It's been real!

"""""".....but that part where Marlo walked up on them boys, I did not get. Can somebody explain that to me!!!!""""" When Marlo was locked up and was hearing that Omar was using his name on the street, he said the first thing he was going to do was hit the street and find out what his name was worth. He found out the hoppers had no idea who he was.... Omar was right. THANK YOU FOR EXPLAINING THAT, MAKES SO MUCH SENSE. MARLOS SETTING SAIL INTO BUSINESS OWNERSHIP...."IM DONE WITH THIS GANGSTA SHIT".....HAHA TRUE BUSINESS MAN....PHENOMENAL ENDING TO THE GREATEST SHOW EVER!!!!!!!

What did they get Kennard on for? ******* I'm sure they got Kenard for Omar's murder. If you recall the police were looking for him because of it.

I sit here and I read all my fellow "Wire" fans blogs and it is amazing how one show can get into all of us so deep.Thw Wire is by far the best acted show on tv,there are a few,ok more than a few things in this last season that have struck me emotionally and deeply in a negative way.The first is them killing off Omar, ending the series, and allowing the ex cop to ruin the case to keep Marlo in jail, not letting Mcnulty tell the guy at the paper about him lying so that reporter would be canned instead of recieving a prize for his writing and yes I think Slim already had knowledge of the where abouts of Joes money and cheeses money because if we remeber right before Joe was popped by Chris in the same episode Joe had already setup Slim as his predessor in casr his nephew Cheese had ratted him out to Marlo for that $50k.But hey all in all "The Wire" is still my favorie show of all time but because of this last season I probaly will only buy all season except for this on.My memory of this one will have to do,it ended wrong.Like I said before unless they give us an option of alternate endings all the way back to the last three episodes when they release the season. That way those of us who wanted Omar to survive and take down Marlo will have that choice.

Wow, what can I really say? This show has touched me in so many ways; I have never in my life felt so connected to characters in a series. I was absolutely in love with the Omar character because regardless of his lifestyle and choices he demanded respect; he even made his name a brand on the streets. Furthermore, he had a code of ethics that he chose to live by. DuQuan?s character absolutely broke my heart because all the elements where against him. He tried to defy the odds but was not strong enough to beat the game. I do not even have to speak of Avon Barksdale as his name speaks for itself. Stringer Bell, now that character was played to the fullest and shocked me the most when they took him out. His words till ring in my ear ?Come on with it Mother Trucker?. The Carcetti?s, McNulties and Kema?s made this show what it is. I pray that the writers of the show continue to bring us real life stories; continue to make real TV. We don?t need no stinking award for this show; the show is an award in itself. Please do a movie.

I'm left wanting. The characters that I've seen evolve... they just didn't evolve enough in the end. My love for The Wire started with the Barksdale crew with Avon at the head. I needed some closure and I didn't get it.

why did the streets get no air time? 3/4 of the show was in the police department, the courts, the Irish pub, the newspaper. What happened to Randy? the scene between Randy and Bunk is that all we get? that was a couple of episodes back. seemed not thought out and rushed. That, That, That's All Folks..........of The Wire

To me, the ending was perfect. Bubbles gets accepted by his sister. He finally excepts his pain and moves on with life. His character deserved a good ending. He was the only one on the show that was truly GOOD. He deserved his part in the ending. Don't worry... Dukie is the new Bubbles. And don't forget Michael is the new Omar. Now that Cheese is gone Randy will probably keep the Wagstaff name in the streets. Slim Charles is apparently the new top dog! Carter moves up thanks to Daniels... and who one day will be in Daniel's shoes. Daniels is now a lawyer and Rhonda's now a judge. Daniels is the new Levy. (Just think the next Baltimore kingpin will be in Rhonda's court with Daniels as the lawyer...) and the City Of Baltimore goes on. the sad part about it all is now that the cat is out the bag, will the real Baltimore change? -- "A man got to have a code." - Omar

I thought it was good but let me get a vote from all of you wire fiends out there if you think it would of been cool if someone from the streets would of spray painted a picture of Omar on a baltimore building? -- Bless you all and bring our troops home now.

If the show got the credit it deserved and was actually nominated for Emmys, i think this year the guy who played Clay Davis should win best supporting actor, that scene in the witness box was priceless, up there with Landsman's eulogy to Ray Cole and Stringer facing death, "get on with it mother f......"

At 1st I thought it was ok... Until the last 5 min then I had to say it was good because it is reality and let's all face it this is how life is in a city such as b-more. A life of crime, politics, bad education REALITY. The only part that really bothers me is Dookie why did he have to be the one who ends up on drugs but then again it is reality and if it ended any other way it just would have been FAKE...I am sorry to see it go I have watch from the beginning and I just don't know what I am going to do on my Sunday night. I have to laugh to myself my best friend lives in Boston and he is a WIRE JUNKIE and we just spoke and he said " well I guess I talk to you in a couple of months" we always talk after every episode. Good job to all on the Wire writers, actors , camera crew, make up artist , producers and everyone else who played there part in the GREAT show Thanks for giving me a great series.

I kept thinking they were going to show scenes for next weekend. It was hard to say good bye I hated to see Michael's friend end up on herion. They just showed a vicous cycle of the streets for each storyline. Everyone who got off drugs it claimed a new victim. For every drug lord off the streets there was someone to take their place. It was a decent ending. I just hate it had o end so soon! Gr8 Job Guys!

RIP - THE WIRE One of the most Intriguing shows on TV in the past 25 years. It's a shame Michael has to become the new Omar and Dookie the new bubs. But it is what it is, The politicians did what they do best and the drug dealers moved on. Marlo established to Himself that he was Bad and turned into the new Stringer Bell and the rest of the cast either died as they lived or escaped Death by either getting out of the Game or going to Jail. The bottom line for every person that died another took his place. Very nice ending tied together nicely. Sad to see it end. On a final note This show Kicked The Sopranos in the ass, Too Bad it didn't get the recognition it truly Deserved!

I was looking at my phone at like 10:18 and thinking to myself...ok they need to pick it up here...5 minutes later I'm like ok they only got about 10 more minutes let's make it happen...the other 4 seasons ended WAY better but I'm more grateful for 5 1/2 years of the best show I've ever watched and probably ever will watch...I can sleep on a "wtf" tonight knowing that. Thanks to the cast and crew past and present. "errbody need to shut the fuck up"---snoop
