It's the end of an era. Pay tribute to the personalities, city and show that changed the way America views "The Game."

I just saw the final episode. I won't spoil anything but I will say that they finished it right. The game is still the game. The streets are still the streets. And as Avon Barksdale said, "there is always gonna be an omar."

I've got to say I'm disappointed. There's a pretty significant plothole here. Cheese is now Marlow's muscle. Marlow is inside. Cheese knows he's getting out of the game and is buying in. So how, magically, is Marlow going to convince cheese to take the years when Cheese knows he's not in the game. Marlow's hands are tied. Do you seriously think that Cheese would go like that? The guy had a hand in killing his own uncle. Is Chase expecting people to believe that Cheese would just go quietly to the inside for 20 when Marlow walks straight out of the game? That's a serious plot hole. Chase tried to make a season that magically tied far too many ends together. Say what you will about The Sopranos, but they didn't tie things together. Life goes on, the street, court, hall, etc, all go on. They writers had the storyline magically tie itself up for McNulty, Freeman, Gregs, Marlow, Chris, Mike, Snoop, Cheese, Rawls, Valcek, Daniels, Bubbles, Slim Charles, Campbell, Carcetti, and the newspaper people. Seriously, it's like watching th e series finale of a network show like Lost. Where are the open endings? Where are the open questions? Usually with series finales I'm left thinking about the whole thing. With this, I just think that the last season is sad. The show went from interesting to mundane and far too much like a network show. I'm not sure what the reason is why Chase only did 10 shows. My thoughts are he didn't have enough ideas to make more. The whole storyline for this season is far too contrived. RIP to the wire. Sadly, it died at the end of season 4.

first person killed has to be snott-boogie scene one episode one. You got to let him play this is America. LOL was hooked right away from there. Its funny how you can tell in first five minutes if a show or movie is any good or not. Never takes much longer than that and I know wether to spend any more time with it. Just checked Sundays schedule good to see the finale is over hour and half. After making us wait extra week thats the least they can do. Sucks all my fav shows here are no more except Entourage which they give us 5 or 6 hours a year of eps. Sopranos, Deadwood, Rome, Carnivale,John from Cinnci, and now the Wire wtf do they expect to keep everyone with just Big Love??? My membership ends Monday sheeeeet

If Daniels and Rawls could have punched McNulty and get away with it...they would have.
