Omar Little R.I.P.

Young corner boy Kenard brings down the mighty Omar.

Make your eulogies for one of Baltimore's most feared men here.

Went and bought some Honey Nut Cheerios in honor of Mr. Little. They were damn tasty.
Seriously, I understand why Kenard HAD to be the one to do Omar. Same reason Cheese had to be the one to give Prop Joe to Marlo. Just like somebody else said, they ain't got no code. Used to be that there were rules. Drug men didn't bother cops' families. Cops showed some respect to the aunts and mamas of the dope men as long as it looked like they didn't benefit from the sins of the sons. As odd as it may seem, there was a code of behavior and those who violated that code were shunned and even punished. Now there are no rules for a lot of folk and there don't seem to be any repercussions either. Omar, Prop Joe, Bunk, me, maybe you...we're the last generation of Black folk to be raised by grownups and remember when the lady down the street had tacit permission to whoop you if you did wrong. It's a damn shame.

I was wondering how Omar was going to keep limping around and not get got by anyone of Marlo's people....he died the way he should have...because people always underestimate the little ones...Kenard's little bad ass was the perfect character to take him out...it's the way of the streets...the young ones with the most heart turn into Marlo when they get a little older....the next phase of the wire would be Kenard as the main drug dealer...look at his progress...and look at the little bad asses in your neighborhood that turned out to be even worse than Marlo...but Omar was my dude...I was waiting for him to lace at least snoop or chris if not both....mad disappolinted that he didn't make it to the end...

I was so upset when Omar got shot. I jumped off the couch screaming for him to get up. The entire family was in shock. I have had a crush on Omar since the beginning. What a great actor and character.

A street thug with a code of honor. Gay and didnt give a eff who knew it. Who had respect for Sundays, church, children. All I kept saying was "Get up, Omar. GET UP! You can't be dead!!"

That night I refused to watch the Wire anymore. The "homeless" murders are ridiculous. I can't see how McNulty is going to get out of this unscathed.

I will watch till the end, but I am very disappointed with Omar's death. I will be watching for other shows with Michael K. Williams acting in them. I know I saw a movie the other night with him playing a cop. He is truly a great actor, and I hope to see a lot more of him.

RIP Omar....you were the best thing about the show!! Good luck in your career, Michael. I hope one day to see you accepting an Oscar! Two thumbs way up!!

REALLY, I HAVE NO WORDS TO DESCRIBE THE LOSS I FELT WHEN OMAR GOT GOT. IT FELT PERSONAL. YEAH OMAR MIGHT OF BEEN GAY AND ALL BUT LIKE THE MAN SAID "A MAN (OR WOMAN)GOTTA HAVE A CODE" AND I CAN RESPECT THAT! HIS LOYALTY AND CONVICTION WAS AMAZING IN THE SENSE THAT MOST OF THESE N------S IN THE GAME JUST DON'T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT ANYTHING OR ANY BODY. IN THE GAME, HE MADE A DIFFERENCE IN THE WAY HE PLAYED IT WHICH IS WHY MOST OF US STILL RESPECTED OMAR REGARDLESS OF HIS LIFESTYLE. HE DIDN'T DO ANY WORSE THEN THE OTHERS, IN FACT HE WAS A CRUCIAL PLAYER. I'M GLAD MARLOW DIDN'T GET OMAR. HE DIDN'T DESERVE TO TAKE CREDIT FOR THAT. I MISS OMAR FOR REAL. MARLOW AND CHRIS I DON'T KNOW.... YOU THINK MIKE GONNA TAKE THEM OUT TOO? BYE BYE SNOOP. YEAH YOUR BRAIDS LOOKED GOOD.... GOOD ENOUGH TO BE LAID OUT IN. I GUESS THE END OF THE WIRE IS REALLY HERE. I'M GONNA MISS IT FOR REAL. I CAN TRULY SAY TO THE WIRE "I LOVE YOU AND YOU WILL BE MISSED" I'M FROM BALTIMORE AND NOW WHEN I RIDE THROUGH THESE STREETS I SEE MY CITY IN A DIFFERENT LIGHT. YOU WILL BE A PART OF ME FOREVER. THANK YOU FOR THE REALITY.

I'm so mad, so hurt that Omar died & the way he died. Wonderful Actor, you brought that character to life, so believable that I'm hurting right now. Seriously, I was hoping that maybe you (omar) was faking, but watching your body in the body bag....damn...why? - I'm so MAD. So hurt.

RIP - I LOVE YOU OMAR!! ~ ONE of my fav.

I for one dont know what to think. All I hate a lot of things about Omar, he had a code. Dont make it right but I understood it.

Chris, Snoop and Marlo - those guys have no rules.

I was personally hoping Omar would be the one to get rid of them, but that was not to be.

Now, I have no more favourites on the street. I dont care for any of them. Its time for all of them to go down hard.

The same heart that made Omar the most feared man got him killed. U see he peeped little man twice, but he wasn't thinking he'd be the one to pop him. What he didn't know was young buck didn't live by any code.

RIP, Omar. There'll never be another like you.

i thought it was going to end in more cinematic style with omar going after chris snoop marlo cheese and every other big level dude in the game, the last way i saw him getting mirked was buy that little ass big mouthed kenard, that was just a surprise move to throw everyone off, other than the fact that he survived for so long robbing drug dealers on a routine basis and walked around living among them was crazy but him and bodie were probably the most straight up characters on the entire show who knew who they were and how they would live but for omar to die like that was corny and even that was less realistic than some dude robbing people at will for 14 years and actually surviving it.

The way Omar died was not believable. I don't think it was right he was way too street savy to let anyone get that close to him when he was on a mission like the one he was on. They could have let him die from jumping out the window instead of that little smart ass mouth punk doing him. I love this show more than any other show I have ever watched and after seeing so many of the characters that made the show so special to me get killed I am glad in a way that this is the last season. But its time for some cops to get killed they are killing off too many street people and its not fair to let at least McNulty fall. After this season I will be cancelling HBO because there is nothing else that makes me tune in to this network besides the wire

Omar is dead physically but not spiritually. They now know who Marlo is running with. Chris is going down. Snoop will probably go out in a blaze of glory type shootout take one to the chest and die. Mike will now assume the position Omar had bringing havoc and fear to the streets if he isn't respected.

Omar Little hands down was the greastest HBO character ever!!! More dversity than any character I've seen on HBO. I was sad to see him go last night, but knew the end was near for him. I think that the way he was killed symbolized the way of the Wire, the young rise up. I think Mike Lee will be running Baltimore's streets by the end of the season.
