Young corner boy Kenard brings down the mighty Omar. Make your eulogies for one of Baltimore's most feared men here.

1960 was the birth date for the white guy in the morgue that they switched the tags with. Omar is 34, putting his year of birth at 1973 or 1974. Which was also confirmed by the Omar prequel. That was 1985, and Omar did appear to be 11-12 in that prequel. > In terms of the whole Omar/Brother Anthony > conspiracy, I have one question. I was sad when Bodie was killed, but that was nothing compared to Omar. I cried like a baby and not simply because he died. I've been preparing myself for that all season. The problem is, his death had no dignity. I expected him to go out in a blaze of glory and take some chumps with him. What a pathetic ending to the most fascinating and lovable character I've ever seen. They should have taken that little brat Kenard out when he stole the $ from Namond. I've read some responses that suggest it wasn't Omar, but a relative. I wish this were the case, but that is too far fetched for such a reality based show. The only bright spot is that Snoop got smoked. I can't wait to see Marlo get his. I really hope it's Michael that takes him out, but anyone will do.

I would like to say that seeing Omar get taken out in the manner in which he did, it obviously shocked me, but also brought a feeling of sadness. That little boy, unfort., is one out of a thousand of kids just like that in Baltimore that experience violence so young, that they are completely numb by the time they reach being teenagers. I am from Baltimore, so I have seen this time and time again. Omar, however, was one in a million. He had boundaries (only those in the game), while in real life there aren't many street-men with the same code of ethics. He was a great metaphor for the changes in the street game since the early 80's- its gone from those involved being the ones to pay (and normally pay back with money, not their blood- as Cutty eluded to often) to anyone in the wrong place at the wrong time. We all knew Omar was going to face his demise sometime- I know many people would have loved to have seen an all out shoot out with him vs. Marlo or along those lines, but I believe the writers did a fantastic job of showing how it really goes down....

most shocking, least prepared. Yet the theme song does state "when you walk threw the garden better watch your back"! Now O was on some V for vendetta mission, so is their anyone on a revenge path for him. A given is we'll jump in applause if the last episiode fullfill that for us. I mean what a turn around for everyday dudes(g's) to go from not stomaching the 'honeynut' lover to feeling sympathy for his death. To the show that had me more weekly antispating the next eposide since 'X-Men' on Fox saturday morning at 11 Taking place in My home town: you all ready know(in season 4 the opening scene where Mike and young crew order the "china man food" that's my neighborhood china spot. O yeah think prequils:Prop Joe dead Omar dead Bunk Mcnulty? Heres to a satisfying last episiode. Peace,

sign the petition to try to keep the wire for a 6th season! (even though everybody will probably die at this point in the show) would be cool if they created some new storylines or kept some of the old ppls, even if they care enough to give us anymore episodes http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/the-wire-season-6

In terms of the whole Omar/Brother Anthony conspiracy, I have one question. In the end of the 8th episode where the coroner switches Omar's misplaced tag off the white body to his, Omars birthdate is listed as 1960. But when Alma reports the murder to Gus in an attempt to fill the Bi-Line, she says he was a 34 year old male..... thoughts??

Stringer Bells death was so hard to get over I still think he should still be on the show I don't blame Omar or Brother Mauzone for Stringers death it was Avon that gave him up. I don't even blame Avon it was something that had to happen and they both (Avon and Stringer knew it.) What is unrealistic about the Wire is that they haven't showed any of the cops getting killed and they have to have casualties as well as the rest of the people in the show I mean it happens in real life as well. Come on somebody has to shoot McNulty and Landsman or the cop that pulled that school teacher from his car please somebody shoot him and Prez as well. Its is just very lopsided to have all the street people die and not one cop murdered. This last season is strange with the death of Omar and how it happened and all the inconsistancies with his bald head in one scene and then all that facial hair and the rag on his head plus the fact he walked in the store walking too well for someone who was using a home made cane just a day or two ago. Please let that guy be a relative and let Omar handle his business in the manner that he is famous for. Let Dukie just go wild and beat Kenards ass to death.

diaclethian is right, they dropped the ball big time on that one. Omar could handle four unexpected gangsters in a shoot out, but overlooked a kid he should have known worked for marlo in the alley. Omar went from smart to dumb real quick, and I fucken hate the media aspec, it bears no meaning to the show honestly.

Omar wasnt the same, come on dog, he was more ride or die after he came back. He blew up the SUV, he Blew savino's brains out, he called marlo out, he robbed 2 or three stashes, he survived a shootout against 4 gangsters. You're right Omar wasn't the same, HE WAS MORE VICIOUS than ever. The only reason people are saying he wasnt the same is because,(HE DIED !!!)

Yo, I love the wire I think its one of the greatest shows to ever grace T.V. but killing Omar like that was the worst (bleep) I've seen in years it put a big stain on an otherwise perfect show (think patriots 18-1) dont get me wrong I knew Omar would die this season I was expecting that but the way they wrote it was wack I was shocked but not like "oh snap omars dead but like WHO THE FUCK WROTE THIS PART, HOW YOU GONNA LET HIM GO OUT LIKE THAT!?!" it was a disrespectful end to a key character and insulting to those of us who've watched and loved he wire all these years Omar was too smart for that maybe that scene could've occured after a shoot out with chris, snoop, monk or cheese then let some little clown who O's not paying attention to but after just robbing a stash house? O's to smart for that the writers dropped the ball on that one big time. There are some characters that grab you and hold you and when they die hate 'em or love 'em you feel it(stringer, bodie, snoop) they didn't do that with O it was like thank you goodbye thats mad disrespectful yo aint like I was expecting O to take out Marlows whole crew but damn get one of them dudes! (scuse me I'm heated) anyway R.I.P to my dude Omar they did you dirty son!
