Didn't Clay Davis tell Freemon that Levy was selling paperwork from City Hall? In that scene where Freemon was blackmailing him for information in return for not turning in him for all the info he had on him? I thought that was the leak right there.

no McNulty suicide. he was catholic. last we see him, he'll stand up at an AA meeting and say "my name is McNulty, I'm an alcolholic." Marlo dies. only question is whether the Coop or the Greeks kill him. because he's bad for business, and that's the most important thing of all. the gang will all walk, except Chris, on the bad warrant. but they're won't be any big scandal because too many people need to sweep it under the rug - Carcetti to start with. yeah i wonder too who the courthouse leak is. DiPasquale? Bond?

Don't be surprised if everyone but Chris gets off on the drug charges do to "police corruption"(Chris will stay in jail because of the murder charges) Remember this series is 99% based on real life and the characters are all based on real people. Back in 2005/2006 around 400 suspects in various cases were released and their charges dropped based on corruption in the Baltimore police force. And I don't mean over that period, I mean they were all released at the same time.Since David Simon loves to use real life Baltimore facts in his series don't be surprised if this was not in his mind while writing the final season. -- Edited by reef999 at 03/02/2008 6:10 PM

Nice work! Not sure abount the Bond / Campbell though. Nerese we know, but why would Bond have anything to do with Davis? Which reminds me: did you see Rawls in that gay bar where Brother Mouzone was looking for Omar? Must have been in the 3rd season. Why did that never lead anywhere? There is also Jay in the bathroom after Bubs threw up on him reading "Rawls s... c...." on the wall and laughing (s4 finale I think).

PREDICTIONS... 1. McNulty commits suicide. He can't stand to look at himself and the distruction he's caused. 2. Kima snitched on the McNulty farce. She's sick of him already. He's really the reason she got shot a few seasons ago. 3. The State Attorney Bond and Nerese Campbell get busted for selling documents. This puts Rhonda in the position to run for mayor which instantly moves Daniels into the Commissioner's seat. 4. Michael kills Marlo. 5. Dookie becomes a dope fiend. To show how inner city life is a vicious cycle. In a lot of ways Dookie is like Bubbles. 6. Carcetti won't be running for the Governor's office. 7. Anthony Colicchio (the cop that gets written up by Carver) help blow the lid on the overtime scam. I think the message that's going to be sent is that things never change just the faces. -- "A man got to have a code." - Omar

I think Omar will get to Marlo before Freeman and McNulty do.

I don't think The Wire was cancled as such as far as that goes. I will be disapointed if Marlo does not suffer some reprocussions for all that he has taken and done some one mentioned the that if Marlo falls the good product will go with him I can't see this happining it's not like the Greeks won't find someone new they are buisnesses men and will not just shut down also they might walk away from him considering how close he comes to being caught also even if Marlo goes to jail or is killed it won't save Baltimore chances are someone just as bad or worse will replace him but I think we deserve this as fans who have been on a five year jurney with these chacters

My bad in my last post, I called Weebay, Ebay. I didn't type the W. Sorry fan's, I'm going to end it all after the next episode. Man, the Sopranos get what 10-11 seasons, but the wire gets 5. Isn't the Italian Mafia old news, in today's age. I like how television now focuses on other racial groups such as the Irish, the Blacks, the Russians and Jewish gangsters. Organized crime is so diverse.

but at least we won't feel safer next time a politician says we need more cops - like Simon says. Education, that's where it all starts.

The short of it is that the wire will end as it started with drugs destroying baltimore just as they always have since the show reflects real life news stories and headlines the show will follow in that path the series will also end as the first episode did with a murder where the witness gant was killed near the two statues near where it all began
